Colton golf club
The course is in good shape and is a great value. This is not a fancy facility, but the staff is great and the course is challenging for a shorter course. The only drawback was the hot dog- even the ketchup seemed unappetizing. Other than that, we had a great day at this golf course!
Colton does it again!
You really can't go wrong here. I was the first one on the course as a single (in a cart) so there was an excellent pace of play. Course was in best shape I have ever seen it, having played here four (4) times since November. I knew there would be a problem on the back nine since they were plugging the greens. (I skipped the 16th green because they were right in the middle of plugging it) The more immediate problem was over-watering. While the fairways and greens were nearly dry even at 6:00am, the cart paths were flooded in some places. On 17 I had to hit my tee shot while being sprayed by not one, not two, but three sprinklers. Pleasantly surprised that plugged greens were in such good shape. This course still reminds me of home (Kings Valley Golf Course, Crescent City, Ca.) Great value! Staff pleasant and they found my glasses I had left behind. This course is a regular stop for me even though I live 40 minutes away.
Cool practice play
Staff was real cool and professional...the fairways could use some fertilizer and seed. And playing around the driving range with the ripped netting can be scary.
Nice executive course
Nice course for the money. could use a little spruce up. some of the rough,s are too rough. could use a little TLC but overall not bad.
go day at the course
great day for golfing, watch out for the narrow fairway on the 15 you can miss it to the right but you will go out if it goes left, club up on 7 its up hill. have a great round
My second home
I learned how to golf at Colton and continue to return for the range and the round. It's a good course to get in iron work and even a driver on a few holes. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and though it is in the ghettro, the place is nice and well kept. For a weekend hacker like myself, it's a great place to play. Don't bring yourself here expecting a country club course. Heck I've played $100 rounds that still had dead grass, slow pace, and arrogant staff.
Cheap Par 3
This is a cheap little par 3 course. Anything off of the green is questionable whether you find actual grass. The greens are well maintained, the tee boxes are not. Great for kids and people who want to practice their irons or beginners.
Good Value
Good course to tune up your short game. Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways, not so much; need a little work on these. The wind tends to blow on this course so offers good practice with target line altering.
Great facility
Colton golf club has a great facility and a decent course. It's not the nicest around by far but it's greens and tee boxes and practice facilities are in excellent shape. The staff that work there are great and the price per round is really unbeatable.
Had fun
The course greens were in excellent shape. Rest of the course could use a little work. Course has 3/4 par 4's rest are 3's. Good little course to improve your short game.
Driving range gives you the option of using mats or grass. I like this option as the grass area is realistic to what you will deal with on the course.
All in all, we had a good time. Things moved along well and as I said , it's a good course to work on your short game.
Good value for money.
great place to play for the money. Good course. Will play again.
Short Game Honing
Great place to work on short game. Greens much more consistent after So California rain. Used my Garmin S3 watch. Very accurate yardage - GPS matched the course markers. This is a fun course with water on several holes, but generous fairways and challenging, large greens make you shoot straight to shoot low scores. Will be back on a regular basis.
No Place Like Home
Colton Golf Course reminded me of the coursed where I learned the game (Kings Valley Golf Course, near Crescent City, Ca.) Had fun on this executive Par 3 course. Greens were in great shape and although challenging, every hole pretty much played straight. The Santa Ana winds came up on the 16th hole, and the course difficulty increased dramatically. Had a great time and would drive from Victorville again to play here.
love playing Colton.
Friendly staff. A fun morning outing. Lighted play now that fall is here
Good play for the price
Greens were great. Fairways good. Tees were a bit warn. Be ready to use your irons and improve your short game.
good beginner course
Good course for the price and just to play for fun with beginners
Weird layout
Confusing hole layout, we never did find number 8. Greens in good condition for low end course. Great layout to practice short game
Colton
Great time as always! Friendly staff, greens are slow, but in good shape. You can't beat the place in price. Bar knows how to make a drink! If your looking to work on your short game, go here!
gteat
Good course for the money and good for beginners love this course
Great outing for getting back in the groove
Always a fun place to play that has almost everything to offer. It has beach sand, water, trees, elevation changes plus mew golf carts, nice! Only thing it could use is two dog legs and water for the fairways so the grass can grow but hey for $10 who cares. Course conditions are fair as the greens are maintained. It's a par 3 not Oak Quarry or the price would reflect it... come out and play!
