Course pace is slower than the one person we all hate and yet at that’s on the left lane on the highway...
Let’s start off with the positives. The course is gorgeous and well maintained and if you get a cart (which you shouldn’t cause the course is flat) it’s one of the nice fast ones.... but that’s it for positives... the pace of the course is extremely slow.... when I say this I mean it. We played 3 holes in an hour and a half and waiting on every single shot. They overbook this place at 8 minute spacing... I wish I took a photo but on hole 4 there was about 6 groups waiting to tee off... and the rest of the day kept like that... if it wasn’t for people getting angry and leaving it would’ve been an 8 hour 18-holes... only way I’ll come back is if it’s raining and at 6 am when there’s no one on it....
Bad Pace of Play
The course was packed. Every hole had about 5-10 minutes wait. People just piled on. Each tee box you had several people watching you tee off.
Great shape
Course is in great shape and social distancing is great!
Good day of golf
Tee'd off right around our starting time of 12:16pm and finished in four hours thirty-five minutes with multiple five-somes in front of our group. The first backup happened at hole four but things picked up again until hole number ten. From there, we waited a little bit on each tee the entire back nine but nothing horrible for a Friday afternoon.
Course was in average to good shape for this time of year. Greens were mostly smooth but you could see footprints. Average muni speed for flat and uphill putts but sneaky fast on some downhill puts. Tee boxes in great shape and most fairways in great shape. If you go wayward into the rough or treeline, expect some rough lies.
Not much has been done at this course pre-COVID compared to now. Tee times are still eight minutes apart, ball washers and drinking fountains are covered up. On course bathrooms are still open. We had the drink cart come around a few times during our round. Other golfers were respectful of everyone's personal space and masks really weren't needed except for check-in as it was easy to keep ten or more feet apart in distance.
Overcrowded - too close tee times
Frost delay. Too close together on deck after that lots and lots of waiting. Had a 9some behind us that kept hitting balls into us!!!! We kept up with 4some ahead. We were to tee off at 12:16; moved to 1:15 ... which was ok. Went to get bucket of balls at 12:30 and was told we were on deck!!!! Forgot to call us! I like the course but not a good idea of a 9some!!!! anywhere......
Longest round I have ever played to date
at 3 hrs and 20 mins to play 9 holes I was so frustrated my game was not par. There were literally 5 groups waiting at some of the tee boxes so it could be 20-25 mins before teeing off,at the 10th hole after the group in front of us went in to complain to the front desk only to come out and say ,"they said there's NO marshalls on weekends".Really,I walked in after that and asked the guy what is going on there are groups piled up at every tee how is this social distanacing? He said thats just how they book it and there's nothing he could do but an off duty marshall was there and he said he would take a cart and go look in front of us.He came back to say there's nothing that could be done there were at least 2 groups at most every tee and more at some.So my question is ,"Why would they overbook so much during a pandemic as to have everyone standing by each other at every hole when this is one sport that is almost always played never near other people in this way?So we tee'd off at 12:04 to finish at 6:28(right before dark)
Good Course But Slow
The course is in good shape for the most part. The greens are nice. But 5.15 hours of play is just too long. It was so busy on that Friday that fairways could be crowded with players criss-crossing other fairways. But overall, I'm okay with playing this course again.
Over 5 hours round of golf
Thought I would enjoy a round of golf on a course I notice off I680. Everything was fine until the round of golf started. The. tee times were booked 8 minutes apart which caused the pace to be backed up with golfers at each hole. Very frustrating round of golf. Three holes took an hour to play. The rate of play took away from enjoying the course.
Good Value for the money
Fairways were soft and trimmed. Greens were perfect for me.
