Watch in the course
I played on the Mesa Linda course with my friend on Saturday, 10/24/2020.
White and Blue tee-marks were located on the same spot. That was ok.
The problem is that all the tee grounds were bare grounds without grass because nobody didn't move the tee marks for several days and all players used the same spots as a hitting ground. I think nobody cares the tee grounds and the courses at all.
There are many spots of mud and bare ground.
Course is Good; Online Tee-Time Reservations is NOT.
I like playing this course. It is challenging and in good condition.
However, making a tee time here is a disaster. You have to get up at 12:30 AM to make a tee time 8 days in advance. Then the app is very quirky. 90% of my attempts are failures. Persistence pays off, sometimes; other times I just give up, go back to sleep, and try to get on another course.
Nice OC course!
Mostly open fairways. Adulation greens but not as tricky as Mesa Linda’s green.. we rode carts but have walked before here without any issue. Overall great condition friendly staff. Fast carts. Bar opens late.
Too much cost
You must take out the wording of walking at hot deal offer.
l played at 01 43 pm hot deal $27 los lagos course. Additionally l paid cart fee at the course. and also finished 18holes at 06 30pm after sun set .
from 02:00pm they appy twilight price$25 on walking at course. Your hot deal is not hot deal.
when you offer hot deal of costa mesa golf course , It must be cart included instead of walking.
Costa Mesa Los Lagos
Los Lagos is the longer course at the Costa Mesa complex. On the tee box there was a marshal who actually checked us in and made sure each group was waiting the requisite 9 minutes before teeing off. Some might find this frustrating but it actually prevented us from waiting on the group ahead of us at all the entire round.
The grass in fairways and rough was in pretty good condition, but there were a handful of muddy or brown patches. Los Lagos does have a lot of undulations which makes drainage difficult, so this was to be expected. What I was surprised by was how bumpy and cratered the greens were. Public courses are getting a lot of play right now, but every green on the front nine felt like putting on a minefield. Fortunately, the back nine was in much better condition.
Overall the experience was great and I can't wait to get out and play Mesa Linda next week
Ridiculous Unacceptable cancellation policy
I woke up sick and had the first tee time of the day. Tried to call and tell them I would not make it because I wanted to be extra careful during this time of COVID-19, bur since it was so early nobody was there to get receive my call. Apparently I should have went and played anyway since they charged me because I did not show. I will be letting anyone who asks about the course to expect losses service.
The lady at the window ruined the whole experience. Somebody gave her a microphone and now she's taking all her frustration from her crappy life out on paying customers. Would not recommend this course at all!
This course is short but challis
It is always a good test Mesa Linda makes you think on every shot and the greens have so much movement all in all a great track
Shot under my 19 handicap today so it was an awesome day. Looking for ward to going back next week!!
Group of a dozen seniors, we play here about once every five weeks. Course is in surprisingly good shape for the amount of play.it gets. A few bare spots on some of the fairways and the tee boxes are a little bumpy. Greens had been punched and were very firm. Rough was 2-3 inches long. Flat course and easy to walk. Water on one hole, fairways are generally wide and flat.
Excellent practice areas
We enjoy playing the 2 diff courses at Costa Mesa, as a close proximity to our Long Beach rota. Best available chipping and putting areas right now due to C-19 restrictions in the LA County. Courses are fun and challenging
Too much delayed play and dangerous play
Our play in Los Lagos on 10/3/2020 was dreadful. It was taken more than 5 and half hours. We had to wait for 5-10 minutes every hole, especially in front nines.
I couldn't see any attendant/Marshal on the course.
The team behind us would push us as if we were the players who caused this delay. In the 15th hole, they hit our cart at the side of the green.
Why Costa Mesa CC is getting worse in the management?
Every time at the first tee-ground, the starter should officially give the important rules/etiquette during Pandemic to the players. The marshal should keep watching the players to keep to play on time and keep the proper distance ahead.
My friends asked me to change to play at the other golf courses.
Good news be delivered to 1-2 neighbors but Bad news be delivered to more than 10 neighbors.
Really no issues with the round. Course was in ok shape. Will pay again
