Druid Hills is a atlanta premier course

I've played Druid Hills golf club twice, and has never disappointed. The course is a Herbert Becker masterpiece designed in 1912 but was later redesigned by Bob Cupp in 2003.The course is one of the primer golf courses in downtown Atlanta. Druid Hills is the host of one the biggest amateur tournament of the year the Dogwood Invitational. The courses scenery of the Atlanta skyline is wonderful.

The clubhouse and practice facilities are absolutely incredible. With the massive two story clubhouse and superior practice facilities it's no wonder why it's one of the premier courses. With a large driving range and immaculate chipping and putting green and huge clubhouse with stacked assessories.

The course is immaculate where it starts on the fifth hole with a view of the skyline and of the buetifuel gardens. The creek that goes through most of the course will sure gobble up some balls. My favorite hole is the short par 4 16th hole. The Druid hills is a great course and play it if you get the chance.

Challenging but fair

One the best around Atlanta because it gets more difficult as you move further back. You do need to play with a member to tell you about the quirks of the course but doesn't have tricked up approaches, elevated greens that you can't see or too much water or OB. Short enough between holes to walk if you like but most times can drive onto the fairways. Greens are bent grass so do suffer from high heat but when in shape roll very well and true

A Great Morning of Golf

I was very impressed by the entire experience I received at this facility from top to bottom. The staff was phenomenal, the amenities are immaculate, and course was that of a club pro's dreams. As a GM of another area course, I can attest that this club is doing everything right. If you are a good golfer looking for a great home, private club, look no further.

Sneaky Great Private Club

The information on this website is wrong/out of date. The Course plays almost 6900 from the tips. We walked, which was great to do. I can confirm the course has hills. Ha! But it is a good, old-style course with all the greens not far from the next tee box. It is a shot-makers paradise. I played with a member who guided my club selection on the par 4's where you shouldn't always hit driver. That was very unusual and a lot of fun playing a mix of clubs on par 4 tees. Same with the par 3's: One was 130, another was 185, another was 200 and the last played 225. I had everything from sand wedge up to 5 iron into the greens. I think I played every club in my bag! The greens were a little soft but very fair. If you putt well, you'll roll a few into the holes. The other members in our group were friendly and we had good food after the round. Couldn't believe they had ProV1's on the range!! First time I ever saw that.

Excellent Experience Every Time

Have played DHGC many times as a guest and truly enjoy it. Greens are usually some of the very best in Atlanta and staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Traditional layout with some very interesting holes and strong set of par 5's. Will challenge ever club in your bag, but isn't too hard for higher handicap players.
