What used to be, or could be, a very high end course has seen better days. But this didn't diminish my group's enjoyment of the course and the day. What the course lacks in maintenance doesn't detract from the play. We just made sure to check the wind forecast ahead of time. With few people on the course, we played in an easy three hours and fifteen minutes. The layout is great, the greens are in good shape and roll true. You can't beat this value!!

I have no complaints in regards to the course at all. When O decide to play in Mid July i do not expect the greens to be perfect What I do expect is ICE. It was 110' and they had no ice at 1030am. Not acceptable. Worker stated ice machine not working well with the heat. Management should know heat as well as I do when I play mid July. Hint to management It will be hot the next two months,,,,,Get your ice machine working.

Took advantage of some super low rates and had a great time. The course took a early morning cloud burst and had minimal damage, a couple of cart path detours but the course was very playable. The greens exceptional for mid summer conditions. Very smooth and speed was consistent. Of course the sand traps were mostly flooded but we just moved to a dry patch and played on. It was just my brother and I and finished in less that three hours. Now that's how you play the game I posted a decent 77 and my brother 89. I just love Trent Jones' design, the apple didn't fall far from the tree and this is one of Jr's best. We played it at 6330 yards, and this course will give all the young gun's all they can handle from the tips! 74.2/136 slope.

It is a wonderful course with challenging opportunities for all level of play. If you enjoy seeing wildlife along and on the course, this is the place to play.

It has challenges from water and bunkers and it's natural environment. I have played here several time and have enjoyed each golfing adventures.

Try it, you will like it.

A RTJ Jr course which looks very interesting but unfortunately the condition of the course is terrible- lots of dry spots and even bare dirt around the course, traps are hard pack and the greens are spotty. Tee boxes often bare and hard.

Course has not been maintained and everything (signage, tees, greens and clubhouse) looks worn, tired and drab.

First and last time playing - spend a few dollars more playing the other Coachella Valley courses

Desert Dunes is a beautiful RTJ designed course near Desert Hot Springs and one of my favorite challenging and scenic courses. That being said one is aware the wind velocity will have a major impact on whether you enjoy your round... or not... on any given day. This day the wind was only "moderate" or doable. HOWEVER , the condition of the course was (sad to say) almost appalling. It looked like it hadn't seen ANY water in Days. Lots of bare patches in the fairways and the greens were dry, bumpy, with lots of "bare patches" Under the present conditions I will not play this "favorite " course of mine again until conditions improve...dramatically!

Washroom facilities in clubhouse were disgusting. Staff told my wife to use the ones located on the outside of the building. Go there to find them locked!

Staff at pro shop didn't really care.

Otherwise good layout and the wind didn't pick up until almost noon!

This could be one of the best public courses in the desert if they could control the wind. This is the second time I have played the course this year and as long as the wind is to my back it's okay but trying to hit into it is a challenge. Check the weather and if there is no or little wind go for it.

What to say here......great layout. Nice Bermuda greens. Don't belive 1/2 of these GA reviews....they're lies. Fairways were patchy in spots. Bunkers were either nice fluffy sand, packed dirt or mud......please guys do something there. Super fast 3:15 min Rd. on Memorial day. Get out there to this classic layout designed by RT Jones and was home to PGA Tour Quality school years back.

Staff was great, course was probably beautiful when it was in its heyday. Value for the money was great! I play a lot in Coachella during the summer. Not a big fan of links style courses, but the layout was good, fairways were average, greens were alright. There was water to drink on the course, and the carts have USB! Good play for the money.

We got told about 3:00 that they would start picking flags up at 4, and we’re closing about 4:30. So I didn’t get to finish the round. They did offer voucher to come bs k and play the back 9. I said it was ok as I felt we got our money’s worth. I shot a 45 on the front and was at 29 on the back but only played 7 holes, skipped s par three and a par 4. Oh, it was a little breezy, too, but that’s just the desert in the late afternoon.

Course lay-out is great, but be prepared for some very windy conditions. Sand traps definitely come into play and many are without much sand so green side shots are almost impossible to execute. Fairways and greens many times thin of grass.

30 mph wind. Couldn’t even keep my hat on. Not sure if I hit a good shot or not. Hitting a driver on a par 3 167 yard hole and coming up short with solid impact is not my kind of a fun golf round. The course is beautiful but don’t expect to score. I don’t care how good you think you are. The only cool part was that I had the course all to myself. I should’ve known what I was in for when I drove in and saw five cars in the parking lot. I’ll never be the same after that round of golf.

Great links style course, playing for the third time tomorrow.

This course is very difficult when you first play it but gets better every time I return.

I love the layout, the greens, and the staff are very friendly. I really enjoy a course without homes lined up on every fairway. It can get windy but I accept the challenge it offers my game. Wildlife everywhere on the course too.

I love the layout and the challenge of the course. The wind is always a factor but that doesn’t bother me. I was disappointed in pace of play and no starter directing traffic. Not impressed by the staff at all and have never have been. Advanced golfers will love the challenge of this course and I think the view is beautiful. The staff needs to find a way to have a better attitude. I thought I was just catching them on a bad day last time, but definitely a trend.
