GARBAGE COURSE andGARBAGE EMPLOYEES
This place is a joke! The last 5 years this place has earned the title as 'Worst course in Northern California" No maintennace on the course, terrible terrible greens. Bar, Restaruant, Golfshop all ran by about 2 people. And they do not give a rats toot about anything. The only plus is that if you are desperate for a tee time you can get one here. Nobody plays here anymore. I would rather stay home and listen to nails on a chalkboard then play here
Also the driving range blows.
Good value
Course layout still challenging. The quality of fairways are average as compared to years when I used to play this for various NCGA or City Tournaments Many, many moons ago where it was tops In this valley.
Poor greens & over grown trees
I have played this course many times over the years and was very disappointed at the condition of the greens , sand traps and really the so many un trimmed trees.
Was not worth 55 dollars and looking from the freeway is very deceiving. Who ever is over this golf course needs to be truly talked to or even fired for sure. Will not be back again until dry creek course management gets its act together!
DO NOT GOLF HERE!!!
If you have a Tee Time here, cancel it now and find another course to play. The course is in terrible condition. The fairways are over watered, the 18th fairway might as well be ground under repair the entire length of the hole. The makeshift 18th green is also something, granted none of the other greens are better. Again, over watered, and because of that, it appears fungus now killing off areas of the green, but heck, do not stop there, place the cup right in the middle of that, gives whole new perspective on putting. I am not sure if the course is trying to use all the water in California but they are in the mix.
I won’t get started on the pace of play, limited by the character count.
The fact that they are charging people to play instead of paying people to play there is amazing. It has never been one of the well cared for golf courses in the area and sadly it has just gotten worse every time I have played it. I will never go back to this golf course again.
I'll Never Play Dry Creek Again
I have played at Dry Creek many times over the last twenty years. It was always a pretty tough but fun course to play. The last time I played there I was not happy with the condition, but I booked a time to play today and after three holes I was considering going in and asking for a refund. The greens are in terrible condition. It seems like they have some sort of fungus growing on them. They are also so over watered, I am sure to keep them alive, that water puddles around your feet when you walk on them. They are un-puttable. They should be using 12" cups to make up for how bad the putting is. All of the bunkers should be considered ground under repair, the tee boxes are in bad shape, the trees are so over grown that it makes some of the holes unplayable. Lastly 18 has always been one of the best closing holes in the area, but now they have a temp. green before the creek. That was the last straw. I don't usually post of complain, but they should be embarrassed that they are charging full price. Never again, I mean never again will I play there.
Bridges are out!
Played the course previously and had fond memories of layout and conditions for public course. Unfortunately, course has had issues with bridges that span rivers leading to Delta. I’m pleased they are paying attention to unsafe conditions and repairing, unfortunately drastically changes course ‘vibe’ and spectacular start/finish on the 1st/9th hole. I’ll be patient and return when it’s done. Until then, Dry Creek Ranch should pace their fees to reflect course conditions. Premium fee should be reserved for premium play.
Horrible condition
I have played this course many times over the years, normally its a fun course to play. Right now it is in horrible condition and to pay normal fee is far from ok
Greens in bad shape
Course was great except for the greens - slow and dirt spots.
Fun course, terrible shape.
Not my first time playing here, the course is under construction and the greens are in poor condition. That being said, they don’t discount the course at all. Paid the same today (prime Saturday rate) as I did in March and it was in much worse condition. Standing water on the greens, greens are soaked and several have rot or bald spots. Fairway is ok and the tee boxes are average for a public course. Sand traps are not good. I love how this course plays, but it’s overpriced for its current condition. Beware hole 18, the “green” is just a shaved down fairway and is TINY.
Overall condition good
Tee boxes and fairways are in very good condition. The greens were in satisfactory condition. Pace of play was also very good. Very pleasing round.
Golf today
Course needed to be maintained better. The fairways were basically non existent and the greens were in terrible condition
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
The layout is good but the greens are in horrible condition. Sand traps are full of weeds many of them unplayable. No information of construction or course conditions. Shouldn’t be charging $60 to play as is. To top it off the owner approached us aggressively posturing & yelling at us for my friends daughter in the driver seat of the cart with an adult with them. Better ways to handle this. We tried to address everything when we finished our round but no one could reach the owner on the course allegedly. B.S. right. We received $20 refund & were told we are not welcome back. We would have returned to try again until our interaction with the owner. Unfortunately it turned into a bad experience. Now I wouldn’t return for free golf now!!!
