Greens not ready
Can’t believe this place is charging full price with the greens not ready. They recently converted to Bermuda greens but they are not ready to play on and they have green sand all over the greens and make it almost unplayable. Used to love this golf course but I will go pay $30-$40 to play elsewhere before I come back here anytime soon.
The course is under construction
Booking the Tee time did not tell you that they are putting in new gree8on every hole. The makeship green was a joke. They should close the course until the green are ready. I think they should have used the old greens to make a temporary greens, at least could put on them.
Oak Mt
Great course just so wet from all the crazy rain. Greens got some bad spots in them. Be back for sure now that it’s on golfnow
Great course with fun layout
Highly recommend. First time I've played here and couldn't have been more fun. Pace of play was good. Staff was friendly. Course in good shape. Will definitely return to this course.
Excellent Conditions
Great day, excellent conditions, friendly staff, gotta play here more!
Not Disappointed
It was an hour and a half drive for me to get there, but well worth it. The tee boxes were in great shape as were the fairways. It isn't an immaculately manicured course, but the playing area is well kept.
It is a very fair course with a different challenge on each tee box. Small to long length par 3's. Some risk/reward on par 4's depending on how aggressive of a line you to take. The par 5's are not so foreboding that you can't pull out a 3 wood to try to reach the green. I found it to be not to not too difficult and not too easy. It was the perfect balance without so much defenses around the greens that you couldn't attack pins. It does require some fairway accuracy which are quite wide because the rough can stifle a GIR.
Great views of a picturesque lake on the 9th and 13th holes. Be sure to take in the golf experience and view on the 13th. A great course to play during The Open week.
Bent grass on greens and GPS on carts
Im a big fan of bent greens and gps on carts. As everyone knows or should know about bent greens is please repair your ball marks. I found myself repairing alot of ball marks from other players, but they still rolled true. Did not agree with the par 5 layout. I played here 4 times and loved every minute of it. highly recommend for a great time.
Gotta Play It!!
This was a fantastic course and could be one of the best values that I have found in the metro Atlanta area. I played the championship tees, which is quite challenging at 7,200 yds and a 139 slope. The course is in great condition from tee boxes to green and everything in between. Nice carts with great GPS devices with large screens makes navigating the course much easier; especially for the first time playing it. Will definitely be going back to this course. Super friendly staff as well!!
A Gem
That was my 2nd time playing at Oak Mountain Golf Club. It has become one of my favorite courses in the Atlanta area, I love the layout of the course. There are some short holes, long holes, challenging holes and some less-challenging holes. The maint crew does a awesome job. The club staff was very polite and professional. Course was in great shape. Although the course seems a little farther from central Atlanta, it is well-worth the drive to play this course. I recommend that all golfers in the area play this course at least once and they will agree with my that its a Gem.
Incredible!
Honestly, cannot say a single negative thing about this course. Have played throughout US, Carribbean and Burmuda and Oak Mountain is as good as it gets!!

Great Course
A must play golf course within the Atlanta, GA area.
Well manicured course & worth the drive
The location is about 40 miles from Atlanta, but worth the drive. Well manicured tee boxes, fairways and greens. Driving range is often closed following any level of precipitation, so be prepared to grip and rip upon arrival. Enjoy the challenging layout with multiple dog leg fairways and elevation changes.
Great course
We've played there 7 times this fall, my favorite in our area.
play regularly
Nice course, you need to choose the right tees. I'm a 11 handicap and if you play the back tees you will be overmatched.
Worth the ride
Wish I lived closer would make it my home course. I was intrigued form the first hole. Great layout.
Worth the drive.
Course was in good shape considered the time of year and colder climate. The greens were in good shape and rolled smooth but fast. The layout is pretty much what you see is what you get. If you play from the back tees you'll see how the course earns the higher slope rating.
Nice course on the west side
This course is long even from the white tips so you'll be using the driver often. Fairways were fast which is expected during this time of the season while the greens are slower, but difficult if you end up above the flag. Overall a nice course that I will visit again.
Loved it!
Could not believe what a hidden jewel it was. Course in great shape. My compliments to grounds crew! Your hard work did not go unnoticed. Thanks to everyone for your hard work. From Alabama, and we will put you on rotation for our golf trips..Keep up the great work...
