IPCC is one of the oldest courses in the Coachella Valley, It was known as the President's Course. It is a wonderful place to play and the staff are great folks. I live here and would recommend the course to all level of players, young and old.
Aesthetics Missing, Derogatories Apenty
One first notices ugliness on holes #2 and 3 where he is confronted with a large empty basin on the right meant to house a pond. Instead, there is a small amount of standing water, scum and all, and mosquitoes breeding abundantly. Accompanied by a abandoned, empty and litter filled housing lot, this corner of the course makes even the most abberant golfer forget rather quickly even the layout's scarce attributes.. I saw no water on the course that was fit to house my errant golf ball, let alone the few forlorn fish struggling to survive in one of the filthy pools. Please rescue those fish, please and place them in a foster home somewhere where there is a life for them.
Lack of creativity, neglect, disrepair and indifference would describe the management's attitude at this facility. Woe to those who own a home in its abode as well as golfers who have not played there before. Pity the city of Indio which has to put up with this blight upon its reputation.
Not our favorite
Of courses in town this one just ok. Price was comparable to course conditions so that made it ok. Friendly staff which was nice. Just not plush like other courses we've played. Tight fairways with houses on either side on most holes which made driving straight important. Greens fast.
The course was in better shape then I expected. We booked on Golf now and got a great price. The layout is goid and there was lots of variation. Enjoyed it very much.
have played this course numerous times in previous years,it appears that it has been let go with the focus only on new housing development. no ball washers on course, ponds are scummy and reek, fairways are becoming hard and could use more watering
Great Golf Day
Course was in. Great shape. Pin placements were tough and some of them were on an incline!. Greens were tough to land and stick. Pace of play was good. Starter, Mike, was friendly and welcoming. At the end of the round we were met by a great young man who cleaned our clubs and assisted in loading them into the vehicle with a smile on his face. Great customer service. We are back here on Friday to play with other friends.
Just missing cows, chickens and goats.
Played the course yesterday and the course was in horrible shape even though they supposedly over seeded. It started when I wanted f an extra score card and the cart guy asked for it back. Really are they that hard up we could not get an extra card. Course conditions were terrible. I was looking for the cows, goats and chickens to be roaming around. If I paid $1.99 it still would have been to much there. The maintenance on the course was horrible. It looked like they forgot to pay the gardener so he hardly shows up. We were told they reseeded 2 of the course but not the third. Funny thing is I could not see the difference. I would definitely advise to spend your money somewhere else that is for sure.
The greens were exceptionally fast. Hard to keep approach shots on the green and putts sort of the hole. Everything ran way past. Leave your head cover on the putter.
Great track for the money
Great course, wonderful staff. We had a great time and will definitely return
Not the friendliest staff at the golf office. We asked about the range and were told $10 for a large bucket of balls. Ok, we bought this. It’s 12:55pm. Arriving at the range we dump the balls at our area and are told we are up for our tee time (1:12pm) now. Not one ball was used. No time to warm up which we tell the starter. He said he would into this. We go to hole number one and wait. Two parties in front; one foursome on the tee box another one the fairway. It’s like that the whole course. Very slow, not efficient; no marshal and the course needs work. Disappointing to say the least.
With all the recent rain, the course was in great condition. The pace of play was good. Greens were tough to read. The views were great.
Greens were fairly hard, seemed to have been top dressed recently, still had dressing on some holes, very little grass growth on greens, making for a fast put surface.
Fairways didn't look to have been overseeded, seemed dry for all the moisture in the area.
I tried to use the gps finally found the switch, but could not get it to work, so on the second hole I call the pro shop and they tell me you have to pay to use it, not expensive but still,,, of course you can’t pay on the course you have to pay at the pro shop which they didn’t tell us anything about it when we checked in!!!
