Will not be back during winter
1 Bunkers full of water Course does not drain well
2 did not get a cart was told no carts will be allowed on course for cart path only
3 cost over pricied to high for a course will bunkers for of water
4 Terrible conditions for winter time
5 I can not recommend this course because of all the fairway bunkers full of water and its over Priced this is the 18 hole course
The course condition is worsening unfortunately
It’s worse experience than when I played a year ago. It looks like not getting well maintained. The fairway has many mud/water spots that are extremely dirty. There is almost no sand in many of the bunkers. Green is generally in okay condition. It’s a fun course to play but sad to see it is going down. It’s fixable but not addressed properly.
Needs work…there are better options
The course is expensive to play on for what it offers… the fairways are chewed up. The greens mostly ok. Not the value for the money… cart fees of $19 is steep…wouldn’t recommend although the staff seems to be trying. I got to finish a 3 hour round though… there was hardly anyone on the course at my 3 pm tee time
PACE OF PLAY
my round took 5 hours today. for anyone who is looking to play here on the weekends, don’t get a tee time after 1pm. they don’t have enough golf carts so if the pace of play is slow (which it usually is, read other reviews), then the distribution of carts will be backed up and you’ll end up teeing off 30min later than your scheduled tee time like i did.
also, the range balls were all muddy and not clean after being dispensed from the machine.
Extremely bad condition -Weather
The recent flooding and weather has caused the course to be in a disastrous condition. Only thing that survived was the greens. I’ve been informed that some holes were flooded causing this.
Save your money and time
Please do not play this course until management has had enough time (dry days) to repair the course. The course conditions are absolutely terrible. The River that runs through the course must’ve flooded and damaged half the course. The entire front 9 is mud. Hole number 8 is non existent. Hole 16 is unplayable. Hole 18 is cut in half and plays more like a par 3. I can’t believe they are keeping this course open. And it’s completely absurd they are charging $60 for the round.
Las Positas GC in Livermore, poor conditions
Hi,
I just wanted to mention the poor playing conditions at Las Positas GC in Livermore California.
1st of all, I love this course, but the recent flooding has trashed that course and that was on mentioned when I booked my round of golf. I want to support my local GC, but the course was barely playable.
Other than that, I have enjoyed booking my golf with TeeOff and GolfNow.
Don't play this course until the the repairs are finished.
Wet and muddy but what fun!
After 2” of much needed rain we knew the course would be muddy. Appreciated the cart only policy to protect the course We chose to walk. No range available due to muddy conditions. Understandable.
Lift clean place rule in effect balanced the casual water and flooded bunkers.
Despite the conditions it was a great day!
Cool course
Greens are best part of course. Hopefully the fairways will fill in you can tell the sod they planted didn’t take and some tees as well. Still a good challenge and a great course to walk
Mud
Nice course and enjoyed playing. Greens were fast. But the fairways were very muddy and wet. Sometimes up to 50% of the fairway was water and mud and it hasn’t rained in a week.
