This course has 18 signature holes
Very impressive course to me it looks like Annika and Arnie only had nine holes each so they didn't waste a single one every hole is a challenge and beautiful
lots of blind shots
very tuff course. If you don't have a GPS you'll be lost. Greens were plugged sometime in the last few weeks. Somewhat bumpy . Still had a good time.
Fantastic layout
I've enjoyed the course several times now,. I look forward to playing again.
Solid golf course
This is my 3rd time at Royal Club, and I enjoyed the course yet again. The pace of play left a lot to be desired as the group in front of us was 2 holes behind, thus a 5 hr round. Didn't expect to get around too quickly with a 3:30pm tee time on a sunny Friday afternoon, however any presence of a course marshal could have helped them speed up a bit. Waiting 5-10 minutes on practically every shot isn't ideal to say the least. Course was in solid condition, with exception of some very bumpy greens due to folks not fixing ball marks and someone dragging their feet all over. Will certainly go back again, and despite my negativity it is still one of the best public courses and values in the Twin Cities.
Way too slow play
Have the golfers over here heard of four hour rounds? Hire a ranger to keep pace of play!
Maple Seed Farm
Bumper crop of maple seeds. Made several greens impossible to putt. That combined with slow, furry, bumpy greens made for a challenge. Was only in one bunker and sand was firm but consistent. Several of the greens will be an adventure for putting. Overall the course layout is OK. Doubt I will be back for what the green fees are. Definitely would help to have played the course prior as there are a few tee shots that are blind to the landing areas.
Beautiful and challenging course!
I’m no professional by any means but this course was extremely challenging and it forced me to step my game up while still having a blast! Very well maintained course from all aspects and I will 100% be back soon!
This course needs better maintenance.
Solid track designed by Annika and Arnold . Nice greens and fairways and great slopes, but nobody repairs their divots or pitch marks.
