Very Green
Played on a Sunday with a great Golf Now rate. Staff is very friendly and course looked beautiful. Greens were a smidge bumpy from recent aeration but overall course in great shape.
Great features
A beautiful day for a good round of golf. Greens were wet when we started and slow but by the end of the round it was a different story. Overall it was a very satisfying round.
Great course
Allways a great place to play and by far the best muni in the valley. This time the greens were below par due to being plugged for maintenance. Didn't wool like they had been mowed or rolled for a day or two and were very bumpy and slow. Still had a great day and got out early so pace was awesome.
Great course for a great price
Staff remembers my name and always is helpful in getting me onto the course early. Every once in a while I will get stuck behind golfers but at the same time everybody pays to play so I am not upset by waiting a little bit. Always have a great experience getting paired up with other golfers. Overall it is a very nice course and will have my business for many years to come.
Enjoyable Course to Play with Friends
Manteca Golf Course is a fun and somewhat challenging track. The rough could be trimmed down just a tad to help with speed of play. It's difficult finding your ball unless you walk right upon it. Staff in the Pro Shop are very courtesy and professional. The Snack Shop does have one lady in there that shouldn't be in customer service. Perhaps she was having a bad day but when a customer ask for something as simple to have their Hot Link butterflied on the grill to speed up the process a "No" and attitude shouldn't come with that order. Other then that...I would recommend anyone who is a golf enthusiast to play that course for a joyful experience.
Best Value Around
For the quanlity of the course it is the best golf value in the Valley. Somewhat long but narrow fairways with just enough water, sand and trees to make it interesting and challenging. Like most courses, keep it in the fairway and good scores are waiting for you.
good test
trees and the blue tees make this a tuff test of golf.
Great course at Manteca Park Golf Course
This course is shorter than other courses that I played at BUT the fairways are narrower and challenging. You have to precisely plan your next shot or you'll loss it. Everything was running smoothly until we reached the 10th hole and it started to back up. The foursome older folks were a bit slow which is understandable. Marshall was not around to correct the hold up. Still I will come back and would recommend it.
Great time.
Excellent deal. Challenging course and unbelievable condition - especially with as much play it gets.
Beautiful Condition
BEST city course around ! I have played this course many years and it still maintains quality conditions.
Manteca Park Golf
This is one of my favorite public golf course, it has the feel for a private golf course. The Pro-shop staff do a fantastic job making you feel welcomed and very respectful. The course condition at this time of year and with the lack of rain is not as good as it always is, well taken care of and green from tee to greens. If you can hit the ball straight from the Tee it can be a fan and easy course to play otherwise you will find it a challenge with the trees. I love playing this course anytime and always recommend it to anyone...
crammed course.
gets a lot of walkers because its so flat and its laid out on a small piece of land. it handed rained in a while. i would go back but i don't think it was in the best shape. not only dry but the greens were bumpy. still have good deals to play there. and its got some challenge to it on some holes. but over all if you stay out of the trees the course is a breezy.
Crowded muni
Can't beat the price. Conditions are average at best. Course is very crowded with golfers wandering in and out of your fairway. Greens are good.
Unless you have 5 hours to play, don't come here
This was the second time I have played this course. I tried to give it another chance but I just couldn't take it. I won't return here again. The first time I played (this summer) it took about 5 hours to play the course. Today I quit after 9 because the pace of play was going to end up at about 6 hours. Yes, I'm serious. I was scheduled to tee off at 10:45. Due to the ridiculous amount of people on the course and extremely slow pace of everyone else I didn't actually tee off until 11:10 and finished the front 9 at 1:45. Almost 3 hours for 9 holes? That's absurd! On top of that, the conditions of the fairways were unbelievably soft. I felt like I was making craters in the fairways on just practice swings. It is just way to soft to be able to play comfortably. I strongly encourage looking to play elsewhere. Courses like Swenson, Van Buskirk, Micke Grove, and Lockeford Springs are in better condition and will provide a reasonable pace of play for much less out of your wallet. I strongly encourage you not to waste your time and money playing here.
Lots of trees, pretty wide fairways
I enjoy playing this course because it's pretty challenging but fair, greens are true but slow.
Great value for 18 holes
Slow Pace of Play!
Course overall was in decent shape. - greens were in great shape. Pace of play was terribly slow because I got stuck behind three groups of regulars who apparently were playing for money, and took their time.
super nice greens
Play coarse thinking basic muni but has narrow tree lined fairways that take good tee shots or you will be in trouble and greens and bunkers were in great shape course was a real pleasure and challenge to play
This is a fun old style golf course
The place of play was very good. Very nice receptive greens. Some easy holes and some very challenging holes. Nice layout with conditions as expected late in the year with fairway grasses going into a dormant stage. Got a great deal with cart on golf now. Very nice golfing experience with the temp in the mid 60's with little or no wind.
