Quintessential Hill Country Golf
Great course layout with both scoring opportunities and let's scratch out a par and move on holes. Greens always roll true, some fairways and fringe could have sketchy lies but we have been in a drought forever. Construction going on but nothing that impacts the course directly. Hope this course stays public cause it is a gem!
Above average course
Layout and condition of course was very good. The back tees were good for me, but those very long hitters may not be satisfied. Lots of construction in the location, not convenient now, but will be a great new clubhouse when finished. Starter had a police type attitude. Pro Shop staff were very friendly and helpful. An improvement idea might be to have the striped pole at 150-yds on fairways. Would also be nice to have some yardage markers on driving range. Overall, a good value through Tee Time, but extremely pricey otherwise.
Course was in fairly nice condition considering the weather but that rush you to start your tee time. Made me start playing 25 min ahead of my tee time. They gave me no time to warm up or practice considering no one had a tee time within an hour of my tee time
Underwhelmed
Paid a little less than $100 for Sunday afternoon round. Included cart & range balls. Range and all 18 tee boxes needed to be mowed. Fairways in decent shape for early March, greens in good shape. Layout is pedestrian. Not particularly picturesque vistas. Started late. Was on tee box 12:07 for 12:12. Nobody was on first hole. 12:00 was late & they allowed them to still tee off before us...and had the audacity to hit us up on 7th for slow play. There are no built-in on course restrooms on course, only 2 water coolers, sand bottle (singular) on cart was virtually empty. No permanent path from parking lot to course. No clubhouse or permanent pro shop. Everything golf related besides the course and practice area is very temporary...for a course built in 2018 (now 2023). Won't be back.
Great course
Course is in great condition. Fairly generous fairways. I had trouble reading the greens but they were in excellent condition. They had many undulations and subtle breaks in some areas that were hard to read. Will be playing the course again when I'm back in the area.
Best greens I’ve played in months
Course is in excellent condition and the greens are the best I’ve seen for some time!
First time. Would play again!
Nice course. Course was a little roughed up 2 days after the ice storm, but no complaints at all. We still played golf 2 days after the ice storm. Would definitely play again.
Great course, annoying GPS governor on cart
Love the course. Hate that I have to drive the cart backwards every three holes because they’re protecting the gravel and crabgrass off-fairway
Go Now
My son and I have driven from Georgetown three times to play KT. It’s such a great layout and the staff and practice facilities are fantastic. I’d put it up there with the resort courses at Horseshoe Bay. Go try it!
Played this course recently myself. I can't speak to most of your comments but I do know that they overseeded the tees and that can get shaggy quick in a hurry without mowing. It's lovely grass though. However, the reason for the temporary path you mentioned is because it goes around the giant clubhouse that is under construction that you drive right by on the temporary path. Looks to be almost finished.
They told me there will be a full restaurant in it too. There's a huge sign in the parking lot that says new clubhouse and restaurant coming soon.
