Great 9 holes.
Really enjoyed.
One improvement. Improve pace of play. 2 hrs 40 minutes. Should be 2:15-2:30.
Great course but cart fee too high
Loved the course and everything about it but paying nearly as much for the cart rental as playing nine holes as a single player was disappointing.
What a joke… $100 around? Please
This course has got to be one of the most overrated and worst value courses I have been to, in Sarasota. This course used to be a staple of Sarasota. When it closed I was disappointed. When it went through the renovation I was so excited of what it may be. But, nope, this course is crap. The amount of courses in Sarasota and Bradenton area are so much better and more affordable. If you want to golf on a cow pasture for a $100, then you’re a bigger fool than me. What an embarrassment this course is, especially after all the money they put into it.
For the same money or less. Try River club, Geenfield plantation.. even Bent tree and the preserve at Tara.
Bobby Jones golf course is an absolute joke. I will never give them my money again, I’d rather play mini golf before there again. Not a fan or a repeat customer. Straight up the course is a POS!
Not better than old 18 hole golf course
Bobby Jones is rolling over in his grave. He probably doesn’t care about how the course was destroyed because he quit playing. It’s such a shame to dumb down a facility like that. Somebody made a lot of money changing the course around. It’s an overblown 9 hole course and not worth 44$ to play. I can play most anywhere else for 18 AND a cart for the same money or less. Only certain days can you play 18 and that sounds sketchy. Oh well. Fairways are wide open and greens are in perfect shape. I carried my FULL bag. Left pull cart in car by mistake so that’s on me but was disappointed by the course.
Nice but over priced
Great to get out and play 9 holes. But $40 is a little high. Interesting layout. Only 9 holes but can be played reverse for 18 but only on certain days. Wonder what 18 costs. Don’t know if I’ll return or not. Nice facility but pricy.
Very unprofessional staff
I’ll start by saying that the course itself is in great shape, no complaints about anything property wise. The staff and customer service however is atrocious.
The first problem with this course is the lack of a starter. Wasn’t able to tee off until almost 30 min past my time because there was no starter monitoring the tee box. Had multiple groups of kids teeing off before me even though they stated their time was well after mine but because “the 1st tee looked empty” they just hopped on early. Not only that, but after a couple holes, the groups of kids joined up into a 6 some to the point I was waiting 10 min a shot.
The head professional Kayla, I believe, was completely rude and dismissive of my complaints about this post round chalking the problem up to “it happens here and there” due to that amount of youth play they get. Not an acceptable answer when you’re paying almost $80 for 9 holes with a cart. Why even have set tee times if you let kids go whenever they want? The course clearly isn’t lacking funds, so maybe use some of them to improve your guest experience!
Was told the GM Josh Deal would reach out to me to offer some kind of retribution for the awful round I experienced, but it’s been almost 2 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. Called a the shop a couple times but am always told “he’s in a meeting”. Very convenient for him…
Like I mentioned before, the course is in good shape, so props to the superintendent, but the rest of management couldn’t seem to care less whether you’re round takes 2 hours or 3.5 for 9 holes. Probably my last time playing here as I can’t justify the price for the customer service. If this was a municipal course I’d be more understanding, but for the money being spent here, the customer service should be above average not below.
Great 9 holes.
It may only be nine holes but it is wide and easy to play. Great staff and amazing driving range.
I liked the ease of getting a tee time and the conditions but found it quite confusing with the multiply tee locations and the way the course double backs on itself. Maybe if I play more frequently I will get to know it better.
Great Course
It is a very nice well kept course. A bit challenging for a beginner but worth playing and growing into. It is a but pricey but the grounds are beautifully kept and you can't beat the view of the city as you are teeing off. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a nice public course.
Fun walk!
Great little course in ATL! Walking in under two hours! Great condition. And I know it gets a lot of play. Try it!
