Screwed again!!!
I reserved a cart with my tee time since I’m a handicapped player. I arrived 90 minutes before my time and, just as at Lincoln the day before, there were no carts available!! I attempted to Walt the course with a push cart but made it only 9 holes before my foot neuropathy, back & knee pain became too severe!! SF public courses are horrible!!!!!!!
Green fee changed
I had booked for a round at Sharp Park GC on 9/5/22 Mon at 12:30PM for 2 people at $56 each. When I try to check in, the pro shop staff was asking for $63 each. I told him I had a reservation and showed him my confirmation. He would not accept it and just say that the rate has changed starting Sep 1. I couldn't say anything more because it was my turn to check in and ready for play. I guess he was busy working all by himself but he sounded rude.
Course Etiquette
Played with Two young adult men in there 20’s and they had zero golf etiquette. Made for a painful day. Also I was behind a man in a golf cart who was extremely drunk and should’ve been allowed to play. Bad form Sharp Park.
New to course.
Pros
Had a good time and played with/ met 3 very cool gentlemen along the way. I liked the layout of the course as well as the wild life and natural views.
Cons
Didn't want to walk, but all the carts were out. Let me use a push cart free, but still rough on the bad knee. The greens were in bad shape. Nobody seems to repair their ball marks and made me realize what putting on a slice of Swiss cheese would be like.
Nice companion and cool weather ~~
Hole 16 & 17 are always fantastic & amazing experience.
Companions are so good to play with.
Cool weather.
Where was the aerification alert??
Every green was punched and heavily sanded a couple days ago! None of us would have played there had we known of the conditions.
stat away
no ball washers, greens are a joke, gopher holes everywhere..THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCSICO IS TO BLAME THIS COURSE USED TO HAVE 8 GROUNDKEEPS NOW 4????
No value for conditions
The starter is always surly. The course is run down, from the building facilities to the fairways and greens. The bartender and food service people are always great.
At $40-$60 a round, there are certainly courses in much better shape. Still, it’s always cool, sometimes drizzly )like today) and fun to play along the ocean.
Could be a multi million dollar course if SF dropped any budget into it at all. It’s been like this for 50 years or more, so unlikely it will change.
