Good shape this time of year
Bunkers need some other than that course in good condition
My least favorite course in SD
My tee time was 10:20 on a Saturday morning. I assumed a 5hr round was in store, boy was I wrong. I called the course 2 hours before my round to ask if there was a frost delay since it hit 38° the night before. The person in the clubhouse said, 'no, we're are running on time'. I get to the course all 20+ range bays were occupied with people waiting. We finally teed off at 10:45, it was cart path only. We have a lot of rain recently but not much since Monday, most holes had been under water can't blame the course for that. The greens were good, the rain definitely was good for them. We finished our round at 3:45, 5hrs and 25 minutes after out tee time.
The Vineyards is not worth the $20 you save on tee times. It's a hassle dealing with all the people, the layout is one of the worst in North county and for the revenue they create it is not we'll maintained. The only redeeming quality was awesome bartender at the turn. I won't go back.
Little muddy out- was okay
Great service, good food. Can’t complain much about the course condition after all the rain. Rough was thick!
Greens were in good shape. Rolled true. Nuisance to me was lack of ball washers and no water buckets to dip my towel. Sand traps were mostly unplayable. Golf carts were looking pretty ragged, seats were torn. No GPS. I thought they had gps before? Maybe not.
Food and customer service made up for it. Tee boxes were a little beat up.
Worth looking at don't expect a fast round
Worth looking at for the dollar. All courses in San Diego flooded out with the rains and was cart path only. Greens were good and quick Fairways ok tee boxes need tlc. Course had an interesting layout fairly forgiving and a challenge. Under better conditions it be a good one to try
All sand traps were full of rain water.
Naturally, cart path only rules followed, making course play very slow
Many pools of water on course.
Just a bad day to play.
Nice Day
Tee’d off at 820. Finished at noon!!!! Greens were rolling smooooooth. Besides not much sand in bunkers, course was great, pace of play was good, track man on range, and nice day. I would recommend this course to anyone. It’s hit or miss with pace of play but can’t wrong with Vineyard.
Solid Course
Played here a few times now & it’s always a fun time. The front 9 and back 9 are very different in a good way.
No rough!!
This was my fourth round here in the last 6-7 weeks. It had been years before that. Really fun track and a great value. Front and back nines are like two different courses. Front is flat, lots of water. Back is up, down, blind shots, more risk/reward decisions, etc. Fun challenge.
I will say that it’s pretty tough to get a bad lie right now. A lot of rough is cut down to near fairway length. Keep that in mind on errant shots though- nothing will slow them, especially near the water. .
Awesome range with trackman included on like 75% of their bays. Absolutely keeping this place in the rotation for awhile.
Great layout
The greens were recently punched which is okay an not a problem. I honestly figured since the price was so low and honestly if you’re complaining about it go kick rocks. The starter was awesome gave me a bit of a run down on the course since it was my first time playing there. The course has a fun layout and some tricky holes and the greens weren’t rolling too bad as still managed to get out of there with a few birdies. All in all in was a good round. I’ll definitely be back once the greens heal.
This facility has great practice areas. 3 practice greens and large lighted range. If you live in the area, check with the pro shop for deals on unlimited range balls and discounted rounds. The course is in good condition. Its challenging with multiple water hazard and trees on the front and elevation changes on the back 9. I am 68 and walked the course. The Poh Greens were in great shape, very receptive. I only wish golfers would fix their ball divits.
2 Holes under repair
Even with 2 holes under repair, this course played better than the average course. Tee boxes in good shape and we'll placed. Greens had plenty of action.
