Rode the Blues (5827/67.3/120) in slightly over 4H twilight using Forelinx. Matched up with Kelly, Myrna and Alvin from Canada. Around 75, clear and calm, very comfortable golf weather.
Over seeded tees were lush and well maintained with few unfixed divots.
Over seeded fairways were lush and nice to play from.
The over seeded rough was lush and thick. Tough to find balls unless you were on top of them. Nice to chip from, the ball usually sat up.
The sand traps were decently maintained but a little thin.
The small greens were smooth, putted medium fast speed and were firm.
Typical old school desert layout laid out in a rectangle. No Drink cart today. No GPS on the basic carts. Reasonably priced grill onsite. Complimentary range balls on an all grass range that tops out at about 220 yards. Fun course, the staff is always very friendly here. This course would be easy to walk, very flat and most tees are close to the last green. Recommended.
We got held up by a foursome in front for every shot, but I suspect they had the same problem as well.
Probably took just over 4 hours.
Bunker sand was a bit hard. With no lips it was easier to use the putter to roll it out.
A good day
Good day for golf.
Rode the Blues (5827/67.3/120) in slightly over 4H twilight using Forelinx. Matched up with 3 nice seniors. Around 75, clear and calm, very comfortable golf weather. The over seeded tees were lush and maintained long with few unfixed divots. The over seeded fairways were lush and nice to play from. The over seeded rough was lush and thick. Tough to find balls unless you were on top of them. Nice to chip from, the ball usually sat up. The sand traps were well maintained but the ones I was in could have used more sand. The small greens putted medium slow speed and were firm. They should be good in a few weeks, still mowed high after over seeding. Reasonably priced grill onsite. Complimentary range balls on an all grass range that tops out at about 220 yards. Fun course, the staff is always very friendly and I have a better chance of my final score starting with a first digit of 7 here than almost any course I play. Recommended.
It was so long that we decide to cancel for next week it took almost 5 hours to play a golf that should take 3.5 hours
Rough to deep
Pace of play affected by rough being to deep no one could find their balll...really slow play was the result...greens ,fairways good shape ...people looking for their ball in play really slowed play down...
Shouldn’t be open for play
Though they weren’t closing the course for another five days due to reseeding, it was already in unplayable conditions, completely brown and dry except for the greens.
Would not play here again
The course was in poor condition and did not look like the photos. Overpriced. Did not enjoy course layout.
Lush fairways, true greens. A well cared for trek. Put the driver away and play the irons to keep it in the fairway on this short challenging layout. Not much trouble but carefully positioned bunkers and trees will force you to think and be precise. Enjoy! Worthwhile venture.
Course just got punched and sanded, wish I would have known before hand. Whole course was really wet and sandy. Course layout is good and challenging. Staff was helpful. We had to slow down pace due to other golfers. Overall it was a fun course at a good price.
Didn't know green's were plugged when I booked my tee time
Very good condition Have extra forward tees for woman or beginners
Course play speed was great. Condition and greens were great. Would definitely recommend playing.
Good Value for the Money
No Drinks or food After the round
Price is right
Short and Sweet
Course is in the best condition I've seen it in years. Played as a twosome in 3.5 hours.
Greens are good speed, but don't hold real well, typical in the desert. Traps are crusty, more of a chip shot than blast to get out.
Play it now, before it browns out during the summer.
