Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

The course is fine, but the cart paths are terrible!!!
I really liked playing this course, but their cart paths need some serious work. My 2 star rating on course conditions is based entirely on the cart paths that are literally falling apart. You basically have to crawl your golf cart over the path to avoid doing jumps, or just try to avoid them all together.
Worst course experience ever
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a golf course, you guys had no control over the people at the course that day nor did you guys manage to fill water jugs on the course and let's not forget the 5 some out there and the 3 guys playing with one bag? Do you guys have Marshall's cause I never saw them one time. After this experience I may never come back
Delta View
Playing delta view one of my favorite courses with elevation changes and water and just a challenging layout starting on the short par 4 first hole. Always a great round when you factor in the wind. The grass practice range is a nice bonus.
A challenge on every hole
Delta View is a wonderful golf course with every fairway is different and challeging. Good speed of play and the greens were outstanding.
Overall in good condition
After a couple years not playing at Delta View, I recently booked tee times on consecutive weekends. Overall the course is currently in good condition and quite moist considering the weather. The only major defects are: No sand or substandard sand in the bunkers, which is ridiculous as far as I am concerned, and Tee Boxes are terribly shaggy and torn up. There are no buckets with sand to fix divot marks at tee boxes and no sand bottles on carts to do the same. Golfers want to take care of the course but can't... Also, put some water in the ball washers please. The actual playing conditions were very nice and well worth the price. Need to know how to play in the wind, first time golfers need not apply!
Value for money except Pace of play
Considering dry season and this area has lots of wind....course condition was very good.
First 9 went very well.....due to event couldn't get burgers...only doggs available with cold sandwich.
After snack...on with back 9 and this is where we played waiting game. Ranger were nowhere to be find and pace was so bad that group behind us left. And others told me this course may take 5+hrs. If I knew this, I wouldn't even come even it had a great deal.
this gold course is fair to average
I love playing at this couse although it does need some help. It took over 5 house to get throgh 18 and the driving range is tore up and the greens need a little work but for the price this is a beautiful and fun course
This course is always in good conditions, need to work on the cart path on the 8th hole.
always have a great time playing at the old delta course in Pittsburg, friendly staff, well maintained course.
Good Location
It was a warm but very windy day. This made the course more of a challenge. Great view from #8 Tee Box however. Some greens a bit bumpy, which gave no true roll. Bunkers need a lot of work. It was like hitting on concrete. But must saw I still have 2 sand saves. No fluff sand to just splash it out. A little investment here would not hurt. Also cart paths are scary as they are falling apart.
Delta View isn't what is use to be.
I've played this course for 12 years and have seen it age ungracefully. I know courses are expensive to maintain, but I have seen little done to repair basic things. There is a lack of cart-path safety. Piles of discarded brush and branches. It is still a fair deal with a good pace of play. Holes are unique and have personality. On a positive note, I love an affordable bucket of balls to hit off REAL GRASS. Delta View needs to update there photo of the 18th hole on this website and their score cards. It's an inaccurate representation.
No food cart
I like this course a lot ! It fools you because when you drive in to the parking lot you think your are playing a flat course. It has several elevated holes that give you a great view of the city. I play early so no cart in site so bring your own water I guess? !!!!
Decent value, but I won't be back
Played on a Sunday morning (8am tee time) in order to beat the summer heat. Got stuck behind two groups of 5 (why is this allowed?) that slowed the pace of play. Spent several minutes standing over my ball at each shot waiting for the group ahead to clear.
Staff was very friendly and cost was reasonable, but pace of play needs to be better managed. For that reason I won't be returning.
Also, it would be nice if the trash surrounding the fairways was cleaned up. Hitting your ball off an empty 7-eleven cup is not ideal.
Nice views
The course is nice. It was a little mushy in spots - not so much that I would give a poor review - but enough that it was noticeable. The views on the holes up on the hill are very nice. I loved that there were ball cleaners and hole info on the women's tees. The greens were inconsistent but that was okay - they are fairly small and challenging.
Windy but still nice course with beautiful views
First time playing and have to say WOW. Course is in very good conditions. It did get windy and thats where the fun started. At tee box (blue tees) Wind was going one way. Time you got to middle of fairway it was going another. Lots of elevation changes. Just grip it and rip it. 2nd shot go 2 clubs up. Overall very good course and beautiful views of the delta (better views from blue tees) and for sure will be back. It challenged me and i love courses like that.
Good value
Played on a Friday afternoon. Not crowded at all. Never had to wait. Friendly staff. Got me off earlier than my reserved tee time. Course in ok shape - good for a mini- especially with current drought conditions.
Fun layout!
Delta View is a fun and interesting layout. The course has a variety of hole shapes that will make you think about the best way to attack. There are elevation changes on several holes that impact your club choice. There's enough trouble you can get into to make accuracy a premium, but not so difficult that the course tortures you. The views from some holes are quite nice, you can see all the way to the Delta and beyond. I've seen hawks, jack rabbits and snakes.( on a few jokes there are some hazard areas where you gotta watch out for rattlers.
good daily course
Had a great time. No real issues. Everywhere needs more water.
A Foursome at Delta View on Sunday June 22nd at 11.04am
To be honest with you I wasn't too happy. Upon arriving at the course and checking in we were told that an 11.04am tee time shouldn't have been available on GolfNow.com because they had a Shotgun tournament that would start at 12 Noon and occupy the first 6 Holes meaning that at 12 we would be pushed ahead to Hole #7 and miss any holes we hadn't yet played. We teed off and went reasonable quickly but soon caught up with golfers ahead of us meaning that we could only play 4 holes in that 56 minute window and had to miss Holes 5 & 6. Consequently none of us could post a score for the round and we didn't get to play two of the nicer holes on the course. No compensation was offered and with many choices in the Bay Area I'm annoyed that I chose to spend my Sunday at a couse where I could only play 16 holes.
