River Island Country Club

I understand there have been flooding and is the reason for the course conditions. However, therw are other things like course layout that was confusing, looks like there hasn't been grass on the driving range for a while. Staff was great and hospitable. I may go back in a year or so depending on course conditions. If I was aware of the current condition I would not have gone.

Made a tee time on Sunday and it was close didn’t get an email or something!!😡😡

There was a six some in front of us who finally let us (twosome) play through after 6 holes. They were beginners which isn’t a bad thing because we all started there but it would be nice if a marshal would break them up to pick up the pace. The tee times were too close together so it was definitely slow all around. After the rain earlier in the week it was cart path only which made it even slower. The greens were nice and the views were very nice. Would play again if the pace was a bit faster. We had a 5:30 hour round.

We made a reservation through Golf Now and this place wasn’t even open!! Spent over $70 for two players and drove over 45 minutes just to find out their closed! It’s crazy that they’re taking your money online when they’re not even open. They have tee times available all week too!! Can’t believe it!

Most fairways are awesome, few need to fill mud/water holes. Same with greens, 2 or 3 pretty patchy on one side but most are in very good shape. I just wish more golfers fixed their divots correctly. It would be nice if every now and then they’d be someone repairing divots on holes just like in other courses. If not for these few minor repairs I would rate this course a 5 out of 5stars.

Beautiful course. If its your first time playing, be sure to ask about the course layout. It may become confusing. They’re very helpful with directions. I love this challenging course.

The course has a pristine location in the Central Valley. Unfortunately, the course has been poorly managed. Part of it has been to the low amount of water that the club has to use. The other part has been to lack of care, especially on the greens. Lack of a course Marshall has allowed play to be slow due to having extremely unacceptable groups of 7-8 players. There seems to be an irrefutable lack of attention to a course which once competed with the 5 star courses of the valley. A shame to see. I recommend playing at Tulare or Valley oaks, instead of here. Especially considering the price. Not worth it at the moment.

Course was beautiful and even though it was 103 degrees, the course had plenty of shade over the tee boxes. They also had ice cold water with Dixie cups every third hole. This course has always been a challenging but fun to play

I played by myself took my time and played better then my age I shoot a 81 my age that day my birthday is 84! I really had a wonderful day thank you!

Expected course to be nice, but fairways we patchy, greens are currently sanded, no warning of this was given prior to start round. Larger than 5 person groups were on the course causing slow play.
