Dog track
This course is a dog track!!! And to top off the old dude with the witchy white hair that works the register is a total jerk, save your money, stay up late to make a tee time whatever it takes to not play here! Prior to the Covid pandemic this place was awesome, but unfortunately has flatlined.
PS,
I am active duty and have full access and would rather go in my backyard make a make shift golf course and pay my wife to play than waste the money on this “golf course”.
guys this was awsome
i go here for practice like everyday and i love it. it has a good amount of trees that provide good shade. and also i love the range because its right next to the store and i can buy whatever if i need to. also the people are great love them theyre always so polite and one even gave me a free ball mark so yeah
Refund required
Hello,
I made this reservation in good faith today at approximately 3pm today however I was not allowed access to this course as my ID could not be validated as this course is on a naval base. I was advised I would have needed to be at the verification centre before 2:30pm to play on the same day. Therefore my reservation should not have been accepted by Golf now and you should send a full refund. Please confirm a full refund has been sent to my account.
So much potential
Can’t tell the difference between fairway and rough. Grass on the greens long and ball bounced all over (almost better to chip than putting).
For only having nine holes to maintain you would think it would be better.
Decent Course!
Great course, staff is good. Perfect for starters not as busy as others in the area.
Poor condition
Very poor condition, fairways needed mowing hundreds of gofer holes through out the course
Overpriced
The course was in terrible shape and way overpriced. No water jugs on the course. No ball washers. No food available other than snacks. It is a nine hole course with the option to play 18.
Don’t. waste your money
There is absolutely no grass on the fairways, if you can even call them fairways. The worst Navy golf course on the entire west coast. It is obviously apparent that the MWR doesn’t invest any money into improving course conditions. Play another course if you can, you’ll feel that you are not getting any value for what you paid if you tee it up here.
Great course for beginners. Not crowded, but probably because it's on a naval base and you cannot play unless you are current/retired military or civilian employee of DoD. Civilians can play if accompanied by one of the above.
What happened?
Of course the back 9 have been gone for a while now so you can play the front 9 twice. Many greens have been made at least 25% smaller. Snack bar/dining room closed on the weekends. Fairways are still very lumpy and hole-ridden due to squirrels and or gophers, but there has been improvements in this area. Many of the dead/fallen trees have been removed. Most forward tees are not maintained very well. A positive is there is actually sand in many if the bunkers and pace of play is good. Can easily play 18 in 3.5 or less.
DO NOT BOOK
You need special visitor passes to enter the SEEBEE base, which golf now doesnt tell you. We couldnt play golf and just lost our reservation money. Really unfortunate and upsetting.
Beware: Not Open To The Public
Not sure why GolfNow has this course listed. It is not open to the public, I called and that is what I was told. You must have a special arm service card or be a veteran.
Seabee is a favorite
We've been playing Seabee for a few years and always enjoyed this course. However, they recently shut down the back nine and became a 9 hole golf course. That was extremely disappointing because we always liked the back nine the most. We really hope they will re-open the back nine.
Couldn't play
They require special permit to enter Navy base. I couldn't enter.. I need to get my money back.
