Only 9 holes open
Only 9 holes open, played same nine twice. The first hole was shortened to a par 3 from a par 5 . I wasn’t told the situation until I arrived at the golf course.
Course was muddy due to the rains.Greens were superb.Unfortunately the the course is in middle of wash.
Not bad
I played this course on a hot deal and it was worth it. If it was full price I’d say no. Basic desert country club layout, a couple funky holes because of the wash and one hole was made to a par 3 in the wash. All in all for what I payed, wasn’t bad.
Issues
I did not see the notice when I signed up that only 9 holes were open and you played the same 9 twice. This should be a bold notice not some small button at the bottom of the payment section. This was a suprise. Also hole #1, usually a par 5 was reduced to a par 3, making the overall course very short.
Disappointed to say the least.
Think twice
There are 3, 9 hole courses. We could play only one and weren’t told that at the time of booking on teeoff.com. So if we wanted to play the 18 we paid for, the same course had to be played twice. The course we played was basically from one side of a spillway to the other. It certainly wasn’t worth the money. Teeoff.com should credit us some money but it’s a chore trying to get hold of them. Think twice, maybe booking from the course is worth the extra money.
You must be kidding me
This course is now one step above Mesquite CC, and that closed a number of years ago. The wash area is relatively unplayable and appears to not be a concern of the Omni Hotel. GOLF NOW should not be booking this course as there are not 27 holes to play, only 9, with one being a shortened par 5 playing as a par 3.
Right from arrival to leaving there is no assistance. It use to be that they would pick up your clubs at the bag drop, have them on your cart while you are paying and then clean them when you finished. Not now.
It appears as if no work is being done on the entire course, gopher holes everywhere, excessively long rough and some patch work greens.
Please shut this place down and repair.
Terrible
The course was in terrible shape. Paid for 18 but when I arrived I was told that only 9 holes were open and if I wanted to play 18 I’d have to play the front 9 twice. When I tee’d off, they neglected to tell me that hole #1 had been modified from a par 5 to a par 3. Basically they have 8 holes open and are charging you for 18. Don’t waste your money. I’m going to be asking golf now for a refund since I prepaid.
Flood damage
I didn’t notice in the fine print when I booked it that there are only 15 holes playable. 3 or more additional holes are either shortened or ground under repair. I played this course last year before the damage and loved it, so I was pretty disappointed. I think even with the reduced rate, it’s not real good value. Staff were fantastic as usual, and most amenities appeared to be available.
15 holes
The holes that were open (only15) were ok ,3 of the 15 were bad . I’ll try it again when the 3rd nine opens in early January.
First 3 Holes Closed .
First 3 holes were closed because of previous flooding .This was not mentioned on the Golf Now page.
Buyer Beware
It is a typical resort style course with wide fairways and forgiving greens. The course was hurt by the storms last winter, so they are only playing 14.5 holes. It hurts when the first hole, a nice looking par 5, has been reduced to a meh par 3. You get a wide range of good greens, medium greens, and poor greens. I still enjoyed it, but it is not for serious golfers.
