The Championship 18 hole course and driving range contains 140 acres adjacent to Salinas Municipal Airport. The course is a par 72 with a Black Tee 71.9 rating, a Blue Tee 70.7 rating, a White Tee 69.4 rating, a Red Tee 69 rating and a Gold Tee 65.4 rating. In 1998 Golf Course Architect Steve Halsey, of Hlsey Darary Golf in La Mesa California redesigned the course for a complete renovation. Mr. Halsey is an accomplished California Golf Course Architect having provided architectural design for the following golf courses: The River Course at Alisal, Solvang; Coronado Municipal Golf Course; Balboa Park Municipal Golf Course; Salinas Golf & Country Club; Palo Alto Golf Course; Modesto Municipal Golf Course and El Segundo Golf Course.

Salinas Fairways? More like Salinas Greens!
They should rename this course to Salinas Greens! The greens were pure and rolling true. Easily one of the best green conditions in the area! Finished in less than 3 hours to boot!
Nice greens
Good walkable course. Affordable. Flat but fun to play here. Greens are very good condition most of the time. Good chipping, putting area. Driving range Not so good.
Tough greens
Challenging course. Pin placements were a killer.

Best local course
love the greens here. Always in very good condition. The course is fairly flat . Simple layout but fun to play. It usually is windy on the back nine which makes it more fun to play. Will come back for sure.

Everything was perfect. Mike in the pro shop is a great guy and always is accommodating.

A little gem in Salinas
An inexpensive municipal course, Salinas Fairways boasts beautifully manicured fairways, greens and bunkers. The holes are well laid out (around a general aviation airport) but the real prize is the care that has been given to the course.
The course is fun to play.
Normally the wind make 14 and 15 extremely tough to par. No wind this last round, what a difference.
Inexpensive and great condition
Pace of play was excellent greens were smooth ball rolled nicely! Darn wind on back nine is only gripe...
