Slow play was beyond belief.
A fore some 2 groups in front of us.When we made the turn to back nine, There was 4 open holes in front of the slow group. We skipped the 11th hole to get in front of them. The slow group also had a Boom Box Blasting music from there cart. They were so RUDE to others we had to go around them. I know that you can't do much about the Birds on the water holes. I do know I don't like walking in Duck Pooh. There was a lot of it and it was BIG. It will be along time if I ever go back.
Budget course
Great staff. Nice greens. The fairways need some TLC. With that said this course is a great value at eighteen bucks.
Tuesdays
Just a reminder, do not play on Tuesdays unless playing in later afternoon. Tuesdays is their men's league and it took 5 hours to finish this round. I have played here many times and this was the worst ever. Other than that great course and challenging even though its not that long of a course.
Fairways thin lots of trees but challenging
For the money using golf now .com a very good price. Also 18 dollars for 18 holes after 12:00 p.m. M-F.
Value
We played 5-14-15 @1122am the condition of the coarse was great , there was hardly no one there because rain was predicted , we got s hot deal on golf now so the value to play was fantastic , I still do not like the fees charged by Golfnow to book a game I think they are to much
Can't beat All You Can Play
Played 18 holes and decided we were playing good enough to play 9 more. There was a tournament getting ready to start after we finished our 18 and one of the Clubhouse Managers got us back out before the rush, Thanks Tom. The golf course was in good shape, we did notice some new bunkers that we haven't seen before. Overall it was a very good day at San Bernardino Golf Club.
Great course at a great value
first time playing this course. Had a great time and enjoyed my experience. Would recommend and play again. Friendly staff with good course condition
good time at this course
This course was just great for for a begginer and someone thats been playing for a while. Course has something for everyone such as water hazards sand traps and fairways range from very wide down to narrow and elevated Tee's . Just a well rounded course over all . lots of tree's to keep you on your fairway. Food and services were great. Had a nice day of golf.
Good Course
The Tee boxes and Greens were in very good condition.
Nice course to practice your shot shaping.
This course had nice greens
The greens are nice, really good hole locations and not to fast.
Fun time
Greens are in good shape. Fairway needs improvement, though it is still winter condition. They have added bunkers in key areas and enough water to make the course interesting. Good practice facilities and friendly staff.
Good deal
this was my first time playing san bernardino and after reading negative reviews I wasn't sure what to expect but i was pleasantly surprised, the course was better then what I expected. the only problem was the pace of play. this isn't Augusta or torrey pines by any means but for $32 all you can play on A weekend its a great bargain.
Bang for your Buck
I played 45 holes for $20 thanks to GolfNow. Greens were good. Fairways were ok. The course is well balanced, some holes are easy, and some a super tough. For example, the 10th hole is short par 4, but almost half the fairway is water. If you miss the green long you have some terrible bunkers to deal with.
Worth every penny
San B. golf course is a well established course along the Santa Ana riverbed. It's not your typical muni-track as there are challenges on every hole. Number two is a short par five but it has a lake right in front of the green which is shallow but soft. Trees line each fairway and can be troublesome for the heavy fade or temperamental hook. Play conservative and in the middle to get the most fun out of the course.
Avoid...
Used to play here every Friday over a decade ago. 1st time back and its worse than a Cow Pasture. Fairways, rough, were pitiful and the greens had to be a 5 on the meter at best. Food also wasn't even decent. Beer was cheap but that alone doesn't warrant a repeat. Save the experience for another course.
Had a great time, but not friendly for kids
The course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly. The holes are just challenging enough for a new golfer.
The issues I had is I had my 8 year old golfer with me. The forward tees on many of the holes made it difficult for him to play. He gave up after 8 holes.
There was no access to additional water on the course or a beverage cart to purchase refreshment mid-round.
Classic Golf @ SanBerdoo
I always say to myself "why has it been so long since I played here?" I like San Bernardino. It's a very pleasant course, a little different then a lot of course in the area. Fine old trees keep you very honest about staying straight, water here and there to make you rethink going for the greens on some holes. Smallish greens on some holes make choosing your play an imperative. PAR 70 makes you think it's a push over, it's not. Play it loose and you'll see your score rise. No I should play this track more, it's good for your game.
For me this time of year, the Bluebirds all over the course, I just love that.
great value
I have played here many times . its a great value and a decent course. The greens are in a 5 out of 10, fairways are about the same. The rough and everything else is well"rough" the staff is always great and that may be what brings me back.
exellent
excellent course we had a good time.
I would recommend it to my friends.
SB Golf Club
Played this course in the 80's and enjoyed it very much. For being a mid distance course it has a few very challenging holes. I will again play when I am in the area. Enjoyed very much. The food in the restaurant is great also.
