Monday Monday
I stop’s there. What a wait I feel like I’m still waiting, and it was yesterday.
I know not to go on Monday because they have 2 slow moving tournaments every Monday .
No more Monday and saying Monday when it comes to the Muni.
I stopped at 9 even that hole was 3 deep to tee off.
Fix the pipe
Can you fix the busted pipe on the back nine . You can really tell the difference in between front and back 9.
Until it gets fixed the weeds will be every where.
2 weeks in a row I think it’s 14 I hit a great drive down the middle into a mud puddle, the ball should have rolled 10 more yards at least but know it stopped in the mud.
Wait for it! Must read it all!
So I had a tee time for 2, but managed to get on because the group at 130 only had 3. The marshal was kind enough to let me do so. Here is where it starts to get interesting. We get on the 6th hole and the group in front of us turned from 4 to 5. We all know that playing with 5 takes much longer than with 4. So I was irritated and called the shop. The shop told me that this group had done this before. So we caught up with them on the 9th hole, and the 5 became a six, and so then I told them that can't happen. The group said it was ok, and I said it was not ok. Some friendly "banter" went back and forth between me and the group of six. One of them told said it was ok because one of the guys he was playing with worked there. Eventually they broke up. Hang in with me. Trust me, this is well worth reading to the end. So the marshal came out and I spoke with him and he agreed with me. As we finished hole 10, the marshal came out with a manager. Remember that I said this group has done this before? Yep, the manager yelled at them for playing stupid...we didn't know attitude. The group was continued to play in front us. As we were talking to the manager, we approached him that the group of six has mess up the rotation and speed of the game because they inserted themselves on 9. The manager and I quote this said " since the group had paid for the tee time, they could insert themselves in on any hole. We, don't care that they got here on time or not, as long as they paid for a tee time." We were puzzled and he reexplained it again, "if you are in line, and more people get in front of you, does it make a difference in time?" Being puzzled again, he repeated both quotes to us again. When I was not listening, they told my other group members that we should have know that they were a two different groups and we should have left a gap. Plus he told us where playing too fast. Puzzled again. So basically, the manager stated that we were at fault, don't play fast, and we just want your money. This group goes out every Friday, so if you feel like the game is slow, it is because of that Friday group playing with six players, which we saw it on 16,17 and 18. The manager does not care about the pace of the game, as long as they get your money. Hope you read this and learned a little about management runs the course. DOLLAR DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS YO!
Good course
They did not inform us that the course would be air raided. There were holes where they painted a circle in the fairway and expected us to putt on the high grass. Landscapers were watering the holes while you are teeing off. They should have mentioned the aid raid
No etiquette
I wish courses would have marshals be available to help those in need. To be over a par 5 behind is absurd and when asked nicely if they could speed it up purposely slow down even more is just plain rude.
Not worth the time or money.
Absolutely the worst time I’ve ever had playing at Muni. When I first started golfing it was great but the fairways are in ROUGH shape. The greens are so spongey you can’t stand in place for long or you’ll leave a shoe shaped divot in the ground. The greens also had quite a bit of crabgrass and weeds. Pace of play was awful, it took us 2 hours and 47 minutes to finish 9 holes because they have no one enforcing pace of play. On numerous occasions we were waiting for 2 or 3 groups to tee off after finishing the hole. The staff is very rude on the phone and in the pro shop they have no idea what’s going on. They told a twosome to “join our threesome because it really doesn’t matter if we play slow”. Great for if you just need the practice facilities or lessons but there’s way better courses in the area that have friendlier staff and better control of whats going on at their course.
A staff is not friendly.
The course is good. However staff at the counter is really bad. I said hello to check in, he completely ignore me and typing his laptop.
So uncomfortable.
Good value for money, better than other courses
First time there.
Playing pace was not good but I might have been unlucky.
Layout not very challenging but several doglegs make it interesting.
Conditions good all over, not just fairways and greens.
Pretty Solid Course, with poor pacing
Played here for the first time yesterday, the course itself was fun to play and in solid condition. However after checking in at 10:20 for a 10:52 tee time, they called us up to play at 10:30 because their entire 10am tee time grouping was apparently late and hadn't checked in.
They then proceeded to start all the late groups immediately behind us. Even though we played directly behind the group in front of us, the course employees came out to ask us to try and play ~15 minutes per hole because their was a big delay behind us. That was only because they didn't manage the group starts correctly.
A solid Muni experience.
The greens are in great shape right now, overall condition is very good. For a city-owned track, it is overall a really good experience and a lot of fun to play.
Great muni
Great muni. Range, chipping and putting facilities are very good for a public course. Fairways are good, some dirt that needs over seeding here and there. Greens are flat, little to no break on what some may think a sloping putt. Broke 80 easily, 77 for the day. Will play again for the value, pace and layout.
I play it a lot
I play it because I can get on as a single twice a week. I know it’s not the hardest or the nicest place , you make the score.
This course makes you feel like you’re in school or something special in a small way .
They dumped some sand in the bunker which is nice. I have been seeing some work being done ✅ so that is good.
The fairways and greens looks better on some holes but it still makes a tough day putting.
It never going to be perfect but I’m always welcome
Shot a 85 .
Good condition for a muni course
The course was flat and walkable. Pace of place was a bit slow initially but flowed better in the back nine.
Greens were in good shape.
