Very slow play waiting up to 15 to 20 per hole on the back nine. I quit after hole 15.
Very Slow Pace of Play
First off, I really enjoy playing this course. However, the pace of play seems to worsen week after week. We tee’d off on Sunday at 2:00. Finished the front 9 relatively quick (1.25 hrs). For whatever reason, the back 9 got extremely gummed up and pace of play went to a near stand still. We waited on the Par 3 14th for nearly half an hour to hit. My buddy and decided to quit early seeing that it would have taken us 3 hours to play the remaining 4 holes. The tee times need to be managed better and a marshall is needed to enforce pace of play.
Decent course, fun back
This was the first time playing Santa Teresa.
The layout for the front 9 is uninteresting. The back is kind of quirky but fun. Speed of play was good. Quality of greens was very good except no one fixes their ball marks.
Overall a fun round.
Good public option in San Jose
Santa Teresa is nicely maintained public course in South San Jose. The front nine is relatively flat with trees providing most of the challenges. The back nine is more interesting and challenging, with more elevation. Played in four hours today even though we had to wait occasionally.
There is a fun nine hole par 3 course in addition to the regulation 18. Also a driving range (mats) and a chipping and putting green.
The pro shop, club house and lounge are nice with an outside patio by the putting green.
Overall, a good value and pleasant place to play a round.
Slow play really bad there fivesomes
Great course but way to many players
Some groups had 5 players not good
course in good condition, windy and cloudy made for a cool morning......play was slow for early out tee time...otherwise enjoyed round with 2 some we played with.
$100 to play in the winter? Give me a break
I used to love this course and play all the time but wow they keep raising their prices because sure it’s Silicon Valley people will pay. That’s is BS and it’s a shame that good to average courses now have the nerve to charge triple digits for green fees. Make your money Santa Teresa, another reason why people are flooding out of CA.
The only issue was the power outage. No restaurant, driving range, lights in bathroom. Power restored by the time we made the turn.
Santa Teresa is a decent course and the staff is extremely friendly. We tee'd off early as pace of play is typically very slow on weekends and it's not well marshaled. The weather was cold but that's certainly not anyone's fault. As the weather gets hotter, course conditions at Santa Teresa slip a little due to the heat and the number of rounds played. This course won't force you to play your "A" game but it's a fun course and it's forgiving for the more novice golfer. If you haven't played it, give it a shot.
Not the same Santa Theresa
Used to play here quite a bit when I had a friend in the area, awesome greens! So haven't been back since friend moved away, but tried a twilight round and was bragging about how good the greens were to my playing partners.........greens turned out to be horrible, not sure if they caught a disease or what happened to them. Lots of bare spots and bumps, totally killed this place for me since its kind of expensive to play here for a muni course but I will not be back.
Many trees but wide fiarways. Hitem straight and you'll be fine. Maintained well with a couple challenging par 5's. the sand is a little rough ti get out of which would be one of mt only complaints, hard ri get the ball behind and underneath sands a little hard.
