Poor Course Management

I have played often at McGinnis, including often with my 11 year old son. But increasingly the pace of play on the weekend is terrible. On 10/4 we teed off at 11:23 and it took us 2 hours to play 7 holes of this executive course; gave up on final 2 holes and walked in. Other groups quit as well without finishing. Saw the ranger on hole 1, never again, and never saw him talk to anyone. Complained to the Club Pro and he said it was due to a tournament. I don't think so as I could see the 5 groups ahead of us, and none appeared to know what they were doing. I think they overbooked tee times, miss-managed grouping/starts, and never regulated course play (there was a guy in the group ahead of us in a tank top). It's too bad as my son likes the course, but I will look for other 9 hole options in the area.
