Average course
This was a last minute booking as not much was available elsewhere but we figured it was best to play here then not play at all….. This course is nothing special or impressive compared to others but it does have a challenging layout that can test your game in all areas. The fairways are hard with many bare spots and the greens were soft but had marks or scars all over them making it difficult to putt on a true line. It was just an average day at a regular public course. We did see the Marshall several times which helped keep up the pace of play I felt and the cart girl showed up a few times for beverages or food which was nice. This course has so much potential but it needs some TLC in areas that could make it a more enjoyable and great experience.
Never again
Booked this course because it was the only one near us with available times. After playing it, I understand why. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course itself, was in bad condition. From the t-boxes to the fairways was less than poor. Greens are in fairly good condition, but super fast with no flat putts anywhere. We paid $65 per person. At half that price, I don't think I could come back. The person we played with, had played here a number of times over the years. He said the course was in much better conditions, even one year ago. They need to get back on track!
Reasonable CHallenge
The course has a variety of interesting holes. But none too long for the average golfer.
Fun course
A little hidden gem. Just wish sand traps had sand and the fairway where a little more maintained. But the people at the facility are wonderful and very helpful !!
Needs Maintenance
Fairways were very patchy. Lots of either dead grass or soggy overwatered areas. Greens were good. Bunkers need work- more sand needed. A shame as I loved the layout. Decent value for the money but course could be so much better with a little effort.
Horrible customer service
I drove two hours to meet up with some out of town friends ds to play this course today. I brought my 10 year old daughter who has recently picked up an interest in golf. My daughter is tiny so she usually rides in the cart with us or if needed I usually pay the additional cart fee which is no not an issue to me. Today I was refuse service in front of of my daughter due to her being a spectator. I offered to pay for an additional cart, on of our playing partners offered to even walk so she could watch us play. Both employee and manager refused. I have never had this issue before in this golf course and my daughter has previously rode along before. In addition, I do not see anywhere that spectators are not allowed in the course. This was crushing to my daughter as she blamed herself for us not having a good golf day and very disappointing to drive almost two hours for nothing.
I will never return to this place again.
Pretty Nice........
....it's a nice golf course...lots o greens in high places.....don't be afraid to hit it hard to get the ball up there....greens were soft and made big marks which you gotta fix...some nasty ants in that first bunker on 16.......did it in 4 hours on a wednesday.......overall i think it was a nice golf outing at The Legends!!!
Saturday Golf
Course generally in good conditions. But some T Boxes need attention. Leveling and re planting.
Challenging But Fun
We tee’d off on time and pace of play was good. The bunkers need work and the entry re course needs water. We all enjoyed the layout and would play it again.
Customer Service Not Good!!!
Local golfer…out once or twice a week at various courses. You can find my name on multiple tee times at Legends and have even played in a weekly league there. All this to say, I am very familiar with this course. Went in per usual today with a hot-deal off of the GolfNow app which includes tee time and cart. I was met by Dean who during the process expressed that I would be sharing a cart with another single (grumpy and rude mannered per usual) I tend to always look past that and try an be polite during our checkins. However today was different, see they apparently have this “policy” that all singles must share carts although this has never been enforced (during my past rounds here). Not sure if today it was due to Richard, the manager who was on sight and did interact with me as well, who seemed more frustrated with the pro shop team than myself and wasn’t willing to really engage. I expressed that GolfNow HotDeal at $40 no longer becomes that with an additional $20 for a solo cart and that I was not up to ride with the other single gentleman who just expressed to them he got over Covid a few weeks back. (which he expressed to Dean prior to me checking in).
Regardless, it was more the principle of customer service here. You see I never use their website to book, I either call or majority of the time I use GolfNow. On both, particularly on GolfNow, it clearly states cart and tee time included. There is fine print on the legends website that (I just looked up after this interaction) states *an additional $20 for riding in solo cart* which is absurd to begin with and I have never had it enforced there.
Apparently customer service continues to be an issue with the Pro Shop staff based on other reviews I came across. Due better Legends. So for all you solo golfers give Redhawk / TCI or any of the other multiple courses out here a go, I have never ran across this issue and their prices are straight forward.
