Nice course for the money
Overall this course is a good value. I would even say it’s above average when it comes to value. Greens are really good. Some tough greens mixed in with some easy ones for a nice balance. As far as the course condition goes, my only complaint is probably not a problem for most of you scratch golfers out there. I play Army golf (left, right, left) so I tend to end up missing the fairway quite often. I’m usually willing to accept the consequences but this course is particularly frustrating because there is a time of dirt/rocky areas instead of just tall grass or your typical rough. Look, I know I shouldn’t complain and just play better, but when you have a great value like this course does, a good number of the customers will play like me. I just hate hitting off of that dirt.
As for my rating on the staff, every lady that works there is friendly and polite. The men however don’t give off the same vibe. I honestly feel like I’m walking in to a private club I am not a member at. I must add one caveat however, they have never said a mean or unprofessional word to me. Just kinda indifferent I guess. I am from the south and probably more friendly than they are used too I guess.
Bottom line, worth the money and I will continue playing here on a regular basis as long as it stays that way. Would appreciate a little more hospitality but maybe that comes with the membership?
Flat but fun course, don't drink too much water.
The course was enjoyable, but it is very flat, and some holes feel like a re-run. The greens are pretty well-kept and roll well. The greens are pretty dynamic here despite the holes feeling somewhat similar. There are some very challenging greens. Clover/weed heavy roughs.
There is no bathroom til hole 12 or so. No port-a-potties or even good trees to use until you are on the far end of the course.
Paly was slow. Several groups of 5 players slowed play dramacally. Dod nit like that ay all.
A bit outdated.
At one point in time this was probably a beautiful golf course when it was strictly a country club but it needs a lot of work as a public course now. The clubhouse and bar are like something out of the 70s. The course was in good shape but most of the greens were a bit bumpy so your putt was really unpredictable. There's a large amount of fairway blocking trees right at the tee box that require high levels of skill to shoot around and hit the fairways. Other than those details for the price of a round with cart it's worth the trip out there. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks Tracy CCG.
Challenging day
Lots of wind, had good time, There was some younger players who thought they could get away with an 8some, but a call to pro shop broke that up, real "BAD" move by those guys.
Nice pace of play for Sunday morning
Course layout is interesting. Our tee time is Sunday 10:50, we finished in 4 hours!
