Pinnacle Hills Golf Course
About
The first course in Hollister, historic nine-hole Pinnacle Hills Golf Course originally opened as San Benito Country Club in 1928. The golf course plays mostly flat and features one par 5 two par 3s, small bentgrass greens and just a handful of sand bunkers. Though it's a nine-hole course, rates are available for 18-hole and all-day play. Pinnacle Hills G.C. is located just south of the Silicon Valley and San Jose, and also about an hour's drive from the Monterey Peninsula.

Leak of water
You need to water the fairways more but the greens are one of the best rolling putts.
improving but still needs help.
Friendly feel, club house and restaurant.
Greens are very nice.
Serious help needed on Sand Traps, Care of fairways and ruff.
VERY bumpy ride on cart paths and fairways.
Bolado Park Golf Course
This course was fun and challenging.
A few good holes to use your fades and draws.
The Greens were is good shape with varied terrain.
It took 3 hrs to play with the three of us riding.
Bring extra balls for surprises.
Nice greens - poor customer service
The greens are surprisingly nice. In fact they are very nice. Tee boxes aren't too bad and fairways are so so. Basically they are what you would expect for this price range and type of course.
The biggest disappointment and sole reason I won't go back is the extremely poor customer service by the lady running the front counter.
Great little county course.
Nice 9 hole course. Great for walking.
Staff is great good food and drink.
If your in this part of town stop in and play a quick 9.
Serene setting
This is a great place for an inexperienced couple to have a "golfing date". The course is not overly difficult and the pace of play was excellent. You want to keep the ball in play due to lots of undeveloped land outside the confine of the fairways, not unplayable to hit from but mostly dirt if you hit an errant shot. Good prices. Friendly staff. Nice carts. A lounge area inside and deck accommodations to have lunch and a drink after playing. I'll go again soon.
Needs rain!
Nice course, but the drought is having an effect on the course. The greens are well kept, but the fairways are dry and brown. I can't wait for the rain to get here. This could become my favorite 9- hole course. Not to mention the price $10.00 for 9 holes and a cart. Can't beat that deal. It's 45 minutes away, but worth the drive.
Bad shape
This course was in the worst condition I've ever seen any course. There wasn't much grass even on the fairways. Holes everywhere due to the million squirrels running around. Cart paths are beat up gravel. Will never play there again.
Small improvements
haven't played here in 3 years. Tee boxes and greens show improvements. But little else.
Poor
The lady working the front desk was very rude and disrespectful not what I look forward to when spending money at a establishment .
nice little course
it's a bit dry out there, but then, that's to be expected in this area these days. as they say, "brown is the new green". so the conditions are better at other times I'm sure. but we enjoyed. and given the drought, it really wasn't bad at all.
nice upgrades
I've played this course many times over the years. It had fallen into serious dis-repair. The new management has been able to upgrade the greens. This is a huge improvement. The California drought is going to hurt this course along with every other golf course. The overall condition of the course is fair. I took my wife who is still a beginner. She had fun. I had a good time too. The elevated tees make for spectacular driving opportunities.
Fun Day at the Golf Course
This course is a good course for a beginner or someone who only wants to play 9 holes. The course had a nice level of difficultly for us, but we're beginners. The cart tracks were a little tough in some spots but I think this added to our adventure. The staff was really friendly and the food afterwards was pretty good for snack bar type items.
Bitter Sweet!
We had a wonderful round . The maintenance staff is awesome and they have the course looking great. The only disappointment was they treatment from the manager because we were just "GOLFNOW" customers and not real customers. Peter and his staff at Golfnow took care of the reservation misunderstanding quickly and to our complete satisfaction.
Good value
I have played the Bolado course a number of times and have been pleased with the play and the friendliness of the staff. I usually play 2 rounds since it is a 9 hole course and they provide two sets of tee placements that make a few holes play differently on the second round. It's a great value with Golfnow discounts.
