Signs, where are the signs?!
It’s pretty simple, for a course this cheap (next to an airport) you’re gonna get what you “don’t” pay for. For the most part it’s pretty well maintained, the greens at least, but if there’s one request, I’d say new signs with yardage would be nice. I know it’s definitely a practice course, and any par 3 course is not gonna being in the rich crowd, but signs make a difference. Also, a few signs that show where the next hole is (mainly 15 coming off 14) would be helpful.
Course was good. Fairways aren’t so good but had nice greens and they need to change the mats asap but for the price you pay is good
Van Nuys golf
Corse was wide open so no pressure from behind & no waiting at any tees. Fairways not great but fringe areas were in great shape and greens were in very good condition. Tee matts are all in need of replacement & there is no good grass area to tee off from. Great course to work on your short game.or for beginners to learn the game. Personnel were are very friendly. Recommend using a discounted reservation site will save you a lot of money. Also has a driving range and a nice chip & bunker practice area.
It is what it is
As long as you don’t show up there expecting Augusta, it’s a fine place to go and work on your short game. A full 18 holes, all ranging between about 90 yards to 135 yards, but the greens are relatively small, so it gives you some challenging targets to hit for as well as a few overhanging trees, which Lets you work on shot shaping. Just keep an eye out for range balls and private jets flying over your head.
1st time on the green
This is a coarse good for 1st timers but it needs to be rehabilitated
Nice 18 hole 3 par
The course is in good condition as well as the main practice putting green, chipping section and driving range. Only thing i found is that a few of the signs are damaged and it's fairly easy to tee off on the wrong hole in a few places. But it's a fun little course and a good walk. Fun 2 hours.
Great local course and staff!
It looks like they are working on cleaning up the course again after the storms and the falling trees etc. I really like coming here to play. They have both par 3's and par 4's on the executive course. The greens are in pretty good shape, but wish everyone were fixing their divots! I'm missing signages for showing the holes. Beginners seams to be confused on the 18 hole par 3 course. Looking forward to come here again very soon :-)
Solid and always times to play
It’s a decent par 3…easy to walk …it’s old but get the job done and super cheap so go and head and hit those irons…
Honestly you only need putter wedges 9876 to play the whole thing. This is coming from average golfer just saying.
I love coming to this course for my short game, but...!
I have been going to this local course for years and I happen do like it allot!
It's been pretty bad weather lately, but they seams to lack of upkeep nowadays? It has been trees and branches and not cut fairways lately, so I'm not sure what's going on?
The greens are in pretty good condition, but they need some "clean up's" around the course.
I have seen several people going to the wrong holes also, so new signes is really needed for direction, yardage etc.
Hopefully that will be taken care of soon because I will be back soon :-)
