One of the best courses to play/hang out at in socal!
Course is in great shape, at least every time I play.
The food and drinks are very good. Great bar atmosphere. Great place to catch the game after a round of golf. I recommend this place to everyone I play golf with.
Forgiving and reliable
This is a great course for a round that will not make you want to break a club.
Horrible Fairways
This course has the best greens in the city…BUT…the rest of the course is garbage. Horrible fairway conditions. After all the rain we’ve had (which should make the grass very lush) the fairways looked like the course superintendent just doesn’t care. I got tired of hitting off hard pan and minimal grass under the ball. Makes it difficult to play wedges at all. You should all be embarrassed. Woodley Lakes is overcharging for this dump. If all you care about is putting, this is your golf course. If you like hitting irons to the green, go someplace else.
Like some have said the greens are shaggy and no good. The aerification still showing a bit. Played in four hours so that’s always nice. Fun day.
City course and it shows
Fairways were brutal and spotty. Rough wasn’t cut, lots of little white dandelions/flowers growing making it hard to find your ball. Greens were good but they have soccer golf flags up as well, bit confusing for first timers here seeing 2 flags from a distance. ( flags were similar too, soccer flag was orange but from distance could pass as a red). Course is wide open, and bit of a boring layout. Back 9 little better. Oh a random jogger on the path through the course picked up our ball. I know it’s a city course, but was disappointed in the shape of the course. Wouldn’t play here again
Decent course, recently aerated greens
The course was in pretty good shape for the most part. Tee boxes were in good condition. Fairways were a little patchy in places. The rough was pretty thick at times and the greens, while aerated 2 weeks ago, were still annoyingly hard to putt on. Between the 4 of us, we probably missed 20-30 putts because of it.
Not a fault of the course but the wind was constantly swirling and very gusty, making it hard to know how to play the correct yardage.
Woodley Golf!
They have done a great job with the carts, added digital score cards with course lay-out and distance settings. Along with Blue tooth sound system easy to connect to. Unfortunately the course is in pretty bad condition, the fairways are made up of different types of grass and weeds. The fairways are kind of "cut" out but not really defined. I would give the greens a 7-8, they have recently been punched but overall not bad condition. They finally opened the restaurant a few months ago, "Best Ball" , great wings and the staff are super friendly! Wish they would work on the course conditions it has so much potential.
Great Bang for Your Buck!!
Fun course to play. In good condition with some rough doglegs and some fun par 5s. I’ll be back!!
Lakes of Mud
All the rain has done a number on the course! Needs to dry out more.
Rude and unorganized staff
This is my home course and I usually always have a great experience. On this day, I was greeted by a rude guy at the check in office who clearly didn’t want to be there. They also didn’t carts available that day because they supposedly lost the keys to the building. I have foot injuries so it wasn’t a great experience walking the course.
great golf for the price in L.A..
Woodley Lakes is great course for the price and the staff is friendly and helpful. The greens are in great condition, which is most important. Bruce Blair
Fun course and lots of room for shots that slice or hook
