Close drive to enjoyable golf!
Between large and small oak trees and just enough
sand and water hazards, this course can test both
skills and patience!
I like the variety of holes
Overall a really good experience! The greens were in excellent shape...the fairways were nice.
A great Sunday morning!
The course was in great shape. Even with a 7:45 tee time on Sunday morning the pace of play was terrific. Hadnt played the course in quite awhile, but I will be back.
fun with friends
Had a great time!
Course was nice and clean.
Can't wait to play again.
Greens are rough.
They just aerated the course so the greens are rough. I am going to wait a couple of weeks until they recover before I return.
Fore Sure
Will like to play all the holes at this course when I can
Great day of golf
It was not very busy which made for a great day of golf.
Muni course in poor condition
We played the Oaks nine and the Lakes nine. In general the greens were rough, The Oaks course had 2 of the 9 holes set up with temporary greens. I understand the need to close greens for repairs, but the pro shop didn't mention they were closed, and no discounts were offered...in addition, I called ahead to see if the greens were punched. I was told no, but found that many of them had recently been punched.
Overall, course in good shape EXCEPT for bunkers.
Nice greens; ok speed. Almost every sand trap was a hardpan mess. Either take care of them or get rid of them.
Great course
We played the Lakes course first which is a lot of fun and has more hills. The Valley course was in good shape, some of the greens are getting some Bermuda growing in the bentgrass, but all-in-all, a great day for golf.
Coastal feel
This is a great change from the flat courses in the valley. Too bad it only has nine holes of this. I wish all courses in the valley were designed like the lakes nine. It feels like you playing a central coast course. This is real value.
great shape
great course food and beer exspensive overall great shape
Enjoyed the round....but TOO SLOW
Enjoyed our time out there on the course. Great condition (Lakes to Valley). Though the pace of play was horrible at the start, it opened up, finally, after the 5th hole. However, 3 holes in an hour and a half is just too slow.
This course needs better management!
To many singles and twosomes. Bunkers are in terrible shape, to many slow players and marshals do not say anything.
Great Course
This course is great because you can play a different variation each time you go with 3 separate 9 hole courses, The Oaks, The Valley and my favorite, The Lakes. There are not a lot of trees and hazards that can turn a fun golf outing into a nightmare yet the course is still challenging enough that if you hit a bad shot your not making an easy par. All in all this is a great course with tons of plus sides. Many spaces to go and practice. Great clubhouse. Good food. friendly staff. Awesome time!
Very Slow Play
Nice place to play, course needs better management of members slow play, people in front of us played multiple balls multiple times.
Very Impressed
From the moment I stepped into the Pro Shop I was welcomed with a friendly Good Morning that started everything off right. After we hit some range balls we were even allowed to tee off ahead of schedule. Other people on the course were nice, the Marshal was helpful, and the course itself was extremely well keep. We played Lakes/Valley. The only drawback I could say anything about would be the duck "stuff" on some of the greens made putting a chore. My Son and I will be returning in the near future.
felt rushed
tee time at 1207,i arrived at 1207, first thing he said, your late, i felt rushed. this place has 27 holes and not busy. sorry i was late. He was probably mad about great deal on golfnow. With cart its normally 45 and i got it for 15. Thanks
This course is very enjoyable to play
The Valley Oaks course is a very enjoyable course to play. There are 27 holes. 18 for the original course, and 9 on a newer course. The course is well maintained and has a nice ambience. Other players on the course are well mannered and polite, letting fast players play through. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The level of play is moderate, and is a great course for newer players to learn the game on.
Course and greens and good condition
The course at Valley Oaks was in much better condition, than the previous time that I played there. Most notable were the quality of the greens. The course has decent layout and the fairways were reasonably maintained.
