Great 9
Pace of play was a bit slow until the 4th hole, otherwise it was good as always. My favorite 9 hole course to play as it’s a bit longer than most in my experience.
Thanksgiving Special
Classic Walnut Creek special.
Narrow. Hit em straight. You will be okay. Beware of arrant drivers from 8th hole when you are teeing off/early walk of 2nd hole. Can be unruly and dangerous at times. Staff is laid back an as it should be. Visit every time I visit NorCal.
Thanks again.

First review
One 9f the better executive courses in the east bay. 25 is on the upper end for 9 hole, but it's walnut creek and an upper end course. THE Course is ALWAYS in good condition. It's also reasonably hilly and somewhat challenging. Always well maintained. The sloping terrain makes for a fun challenge that places like pleasanton golf or Buchanan fields utterly lack.
You play through a semi residential course, so OB neighborhood hazards are abundant
Carts are expensive at 15 per person, not per cart, for some reason you don't rent a cart you pay per person.
The course lacks a driving range so if you like to warm up with a small bucket it's not possible, but the putting green rivals the course holes for slope and as such, is great practice prior to t off.
Also has the best clubhouse around, rivals diablo creek. Good food, im happy to eat there without playing.
Reasonable-high drink prices, think 6 bucks for a pint of Coors.
Sports bar atmosphere, friendly clientele, friendly staff.
Hope the review helps everyone out.
fun game
it is a perfect course for a short run. You need both long and short game skills to have a very good score
Golf at Diablo Hills
The course is in good condition for a heavily played course. The weather was very good. Great course for walking;.
Great little 9 hole
Course was a great little 9 hole. Played with my wife on a Sunday we are both novices and was a busy day but we never felt rushed. The course played well, There are a lot of sand traps to make it interesting but not overly difficult. Look forward to playing it again. The clubhouse also is a great place to hang out after and have a drink and some food.
Diablo Creek
For $20 bucks walking it’s a great value. They seem to be putting more and more money into the course. Easy walk too
I really love this golf course.
I really love this golf course. I hope to come this course again. Also, the food served in the club house was so great.
Unique course layout
Really different course layout, especially the 4th hole par 3. The par 5 near the end has a bad tee spot, unable to see over the hill if other golfers are present.
Groundskeeper
Groundskeepers should be more aware of golfers in play and not hinder the pace of play.
Great beginner course
I played this course with 2 first-timers and 1 intermediate player. The course was packed but we didn't feel rushed. Overall, I feel this is a great beginner course with lots of opportunities to correct bad shots. The greens are also mostly flat. This makes learning golf a more enjoyable experience. I would definitely play here again.
