A good beginner course
Although Mallard Lakes is not in pristine condition, the fairways are cut and the greens are fair although small. With its doglegs and trees, it presents a fair test of golf. It is a executive style course with a mix of par3s and 4s. For a beginner this course is an excellent tune up before you venture onto full length courses.
It is also very easy to walk and has a nice putting green. We especially enjoy all the ducks and their antics. Although we belong to a country club we still enjoy going down and playing Mallard as it is a stress free round. The driving range is showing its age, but still is very inexpensive and is a good place to practice.
course has great layout but not maintained at all.
This course has very narrow fairways which punishes you if you dont drive straight. The only problem is the course isn't maintained at all so it is very good for practicing scrambling and hitting out of bad lies. Expect to get a new cart after 9 holes as the carts are rarely charged fully.
