Silo/Sleeping Indian at West Woods Golf Club
About
The West Woods Golf Club offers a variety of different playing options since it features three different nine-hole courses that can be played in 18-hole combinations. The combinations change each day so each time you play here is guaranteed to be a little bit different. The Silo/Sleeping Indian course is the smallest of these public courses at 6,722 yards from its longest tees. The course features water hazards that come in the form of ten lakes, which are situated, on the facility's grounds. The greens are medium-sized and sloped. On the West Woods premises there is also pro shop and on-site teaching pro.

Reviews
Always a good round
Cloudy and overcast that day, had the course all to ourselves.
Great Course!
Played there yesterday with my golfing buddy, first time at this course but had heard good things from my father. Ended up being paired with a men's club twosome, which was helpful to learn placement on some of the more difficult holes. Greens were consistent, but difficult - not many straight putts! Fairways and tee boxes also in great shape, though for the first day of the season I would have though tee markers would be out - they weren't. Practice was off matts, and couldn't hit driver, but hopefully that is a seasonal thing. Overall great experience and we will be back - great value for the $$!
Winter golf in Colorado
When you can get in a round of golf on February 14th
in Denver its a good day.
Great value!
This was a great round at a very good price compared to other courses this time of year. Considering it was February the condition of the grass and greens was good in my opinion. Overall nice experience as the greens held my shots and I just missed a hole in one. The cottonwood 9 was much more difficult from the back tees than the Indian 9.
Can't wait to play again during the summer
I really enjoyed this course and the greens i'm sure will be more challenging during the summer months. it was in really good condition for playing in the middle of December.
i don't like golf now.com
I was very I dissapoinred with golf now! The only reason I used golf now.com was because of the 25% discount offer. Of course it did not Work when I entered the code. I would reccomend the course but not golf now. I played golf well over 100 times this season and not using golf now.com will be no loss.
Great Course at a Great Price
This is a very nice golf course in excellent condition. It is moderately difficult with some long par-4s and a few holes that require strategic tee shots.
Great place, wish it was a few dollars less...... I'd play Here a ton!
Great course, good shape for Nov. 2! Tough greens but rolling well. Overall I really like this course, all 3 nine hole courses are challenging but fun. Not real long from whites, normal men's tees, but requires some placement for sure.... If you want to score that is!
Go check it out, and hook up a deal through Golf Nov to make it an awesome value!
Fun Round
A very fun course in great condition. The only negative to the entire day was the pace of play. it took 4.5 hours but they were booked up.
Good course
Course was in really good shape. Too bad only saw the beverage cart one time in five hours.
placement course with alot of choices
This course is one where you have to be in the right spots because trouble is everywhere. Proper layups are the key. Greens putt true/fast. Very scenic and great variety of holes.
Cottonwood/Sleeping Indian
The course was in really good shape due to all the rain this summer. The greens were aerated a couple weeks ago. It was hardly noticeable. An enjoyable day!
west wood
Would play this course again. The traps were below par in that they were more like mud don't expect fluffy sand traps. The Sleeping Indian course was fun to play and the greens were very tough. Cottonwood was very challenging with tough greens as well. You won't sail around this course on the first try. Lad this in your sky caddie so you will be prepared for some of the more challenging holes.
rushed
For the most part a decent 9 holes the only thing I would complain about is how pushy the staff was to get us off the course before they close so they could get out of there early.I understand it's Labor Day but that's when golf courses make a lot of money and just because I was the last one on the course doesn't mean that my money isn't worth as much as the guy that started at six a.m. it really made me feel like a unvalued customer
Under Rated Gem..
Excellent Layout and Maintenance.. Terrific Value $53 golf w/cart... Played from the tips into the wind all day.... stay straight and short.. better than long and crooked..
Late summer play
Great course, challenging, yet score-able, no cary requirements for older folks, long to walk due to houses surrounding
Cottonwood
This is my home course. It's a great middle-of-the-road track. Cottonwood is the toughest, Followed by Silo (Hate) and then Sleeping Indian (Favorite). Staff is nice, but a little conceded. Decent price for a very fun course. Not many competing courses around.
call to get tee times. ..
I was a bit taken back when I found out I paid a Golf Now fee to get a tee time and I could have called the course to receive the price Golf Now posted without the additional fee. Any other course I've picked through Golf Now offer somewhat of a discount to the course's normal fees. This course was nice with good views. The lady in the pro shop was a bit unfriendly though.
Some Challening holes
Some challening holes, fairly wide open. Pin placement was reasonably accessable, which is good for weekend play, helps speed of play gor below average players. Greens were soft and spongy and slow Bunkers were not maintained and in poor condition.. Overall a decent challenge for my group, which averages 12-16 handicap. I would reccomend the course to most players of average ability.
Poor staff attitude
From the start, in pro shop, poor attitude, indifference, 3 to play, who is 4th? Unknown. 1 cart girl on 7 on Silo, ok, said would catch us on the back 9 for sandwiches, etc, NEVER showed on back 9. ON 10 group 4 ladies, 4 carts, 15 minute delay, this group not in front of us, where did they come from? Beginners, slow slow play. Called proshop, sent marshall, who could not get this resolved. Rest of back nine, agony due to slow play. Not worth time to speak with pro shop afterwards, considering how we were treated
