Lake Arbor Golf Course
About
Lake Arbor Golf Course is a scenic 18-hole course that is open to the public. The course is 5,865 yards at its longest tees. The course features lush, medium-sized greens and narrow fairways. Pretty creeks and ponds create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The classic layout is easily walked and provides picturesque views at the same time. Experienced and beginning golfers alike get enjoyment from Lake Arbor Golf Course. The most difficult hole is the par-5 10th hole that covers 483 yards. Its difficulty stems from the fact that it requires an approach shot past a water hazard.

Good late round in season
Great putting greens for the price!
well maintained
i will definatly play this course again & recommend it to others
Nice course
This course was in excellent condition! The greens were smooth and fast. I was surprised how quickly we went around considering the course was full and it was a sunday. It took right at 4 hours. will definitely play here again!
Great location and wonderful people
It was a great course and anyone who golfs there will surely go back.
Decent course at a reasonable rate
This course is a good one for moderately skilled and beginning players. There are few bunkers, and none of them are formidable. There are even fewer water hazards, and most of the holes are straightaway. However, the fairways are narrow and I spent a lot of time playing out of the rough. As other reviewers have noted, the greens are very fast, and a small mistake can find your ball several yards past the cup.
Because of its urban location -- many of the holes butt up against apartments and homes with fences protecting them, and one of the holes is adjacent to busy Wadsworth Boulevard -- it's not exactly a bucolic escape. But it plays quickly, the staff are welcoming, and the price is worth it.
Great course!
Just played this course today and had a great time. The greens are some of the best I've seen and the course was in great shape overall as well. I didn't try any food, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. It doesn't get much better for the price, so I would definitely recommend this course.
great course&staff
great time real nice greens every nice staff/ great for the price
Pace was a problem.
Course was great. Staff was great.
The problem was the pace.
I was playing solo, but ahead of me was a foursome that was taking sooooooo long for anything. I caught up with them after hole 4. 35 minutes later I still couldn't tee off of hole 5. Eventually just skipped hole 7 to get past them.
walking friendly course
lake arbor is a shorter par 70 with excellent fairways and greens even from the tips. the course is pretty flat so makes it an easy walk. if your long off the tee you can reach all the par 5's in two. the course tends to be overrun with seniors on foot in the mornings on all days but pace is still OK as long as your group is a 3 or 4 some. virtually no goose poo anywhere as I know this can be a problem at many Denver area courses. if u usually hit the ball where u want this can be an easy scoring course...I tend to average 80-85 but shoot a lot of low and mid 70s at this track. staff is always friendly and they have frequent player punchcards you can use if u play a lot, don't know how long cards will be around though..I also have a wellmannered 7, &8 year old who rides along with me and wife when we play and we never have a problem with that but we never bring the kids during peak times....I also never have a problem playing in a teeshirt....I find them less hot than a collared shirt in summer...also a small range bucket is not enough to share with the wife for a warm up..lol....great course overall for a midpriced muni. Tight lies golfers!!
Great course for the price!
This was the first time we played the course. We typically like to get out early so we do not waste an entire day. This course was a blast to play. It is challenging in spots and you really have to pick your spots. I would defiantly play this course again.
Good course - poor experience
The address that Google has is wrong, so it took me to the correct neighborhood, but I drove around and eventually found it.
When I arrived I had booked to play I asked if the course was busy. I was told No you might run into another group but not until the 2nd half of your round or later. This was incorrect, I caught up to a group on the 2nd hole. I joined a 2 some and played with them because in front of them was a group of 6 (yes 6 players) at one point we saw a ranger, and he stopped and spoke to the group, but NOTHING changed. Now I will admit, for a 6 some they played pretty quick, but still 6 players slows down the golf course. Also, they never gave us the opportunity to play through.
The course is situated throughout a mixed home development (single family and apartment/condo) and several people used the course as a short cut to get from one side of the neighborhood to the other, so you would be teeing off and have two people just walk across the golf course like it was a park. At one point one of the people that was cutting across the fairway yelled to me FORE! as his way of saying that he intended on cutting through and I was supposed to wait.
The course is designed with very little water, not much sand, and short cut rough that would indicate that it would play well for beginners but it is simply too close to the homes / street. The 18th hole (a 160 yard par 3) is less than 10 yards from the edge of the property in either direction, and a way word tee shot was likely to hit a VERY busy street or houses.
Lake Arbor
Tee time was 834 am and we started on time and were paired with two singles. We started on time and the pace of play was good. We did not see any rangers but the pace of play was good, no cart lady until the second nine. Course was in very good shape. greens were excellent and the rough was mowed short for the weekend. Our only delays were a couple times we waited on mowers for a minute or two. Very good 18 hole experience!
Great Value
The course wasn't too difficult, but in extremely great condition. I was booked with 3 older ladies and the staff immediately recognized it and adjusted my tee time to fit me more appropriately. It was a fantastic experience overall and I will returning to the course again.
One of the Best!
I discovered this course a couple of years ago. It quickly became one of my favorites. The conditions are always excellent and it has the best greens of any course I've played around here. If you're looking for a new course to play in the Arvada, CO area, I HIGHLY recommend this one.
Great value
Can't be beat for the price! Relatively simple course layout but was challenging enough to be fun. Course ranger kept great pace of play for the Saturday following the 4th. He was also around several times with ice water. Worth every cent of 25$
Nice playable course
Nice playable course the pace of play was great we never waited all one whole overall condition of the course great
Staff makes the difference
This is a nice little course. A bit dated, very very limited parking, pricey driving range (large bucket $12) and very small. Fairways are plenty tight, careful with your driver! The difference maker, the STAFF! Very friendly, bar staff amazing! Worth it to play on a calm afternoon with a good friend!
Great value
Normally don't play Lake Arbor, but it was nice to break away from my normal tracks. Surprised to see new restroom facilities on the front and back nines. What really shocked me is that the greens are exceptionally fast. I don't remember Lake Arbor ever having fast greens. Took most the day to adjust. The only downfall is that I was paired with some very slow golfers. It was a good test of my patience.
Great municipal course
This course has everything you would want from a municipal course. The greens and fairways are well maintained. The grass off the fairway is also well maintained, and is thick thick thick.
The course is overall fairly easy--shorter than many. There are a few hazards requiring you to lay up or really go for it.
The staff in the clubhouse was extremely friendly, as was the course marshal. I'll play here again for sure.
Great price
The course was in great condition with an easy layout for its location. There is houses all around but only with little intrusion to the course. It was crowded but for 40$ you can't complain. If you have a junior golfer, this is a great beginning 18.
