Flatirons Golf Course
About
The golf course at Flatirons Country Club has a long and unique history, undergoing several name changes, renovations, and even a location change since its conception in 1938. It is a popular choice since it accommodates all skill levels but also provides adequate challenges. The course has fast greens and narrow, tree-lined fairways. Water hazards and bunkers come into play on several of the holes. In addition to the excellent game it provides, the course also has a reputation for being in excellent condition. Flatirons Country Club has practice facilities including a practice green and chipping area as well as an on-site instructor and pro shop.

Fun day, course is coming into spring!
This was a GolfPass round (pretty sweet!) + 9 holes for us, because it was so efficient. The course just melted out and opened that day or the afternoon prior, so given that, it was in pretty darn good shape.
The staff was super friendly, funny we had played 9 holes with the assistant pro, Bayrod, a pretty talented player, at a course nearby recently, and he was there offering to do a lesson in the future. The groundskeepers were cleaning it quite nicely, we just had a bomb cyclone 5 days ago!
This 1938 built course plays fairly straightforward, and it was even starting to green a smidge. There were a few (2-3) fairways that were pretty soft (like #2) where you might have to keep an close eye on your drive to find it plugged and nearly buried in the fairway and be cautious with a cart. The gentleman behind us found 3 other plugged drives but not his! The greens were in pretty good shape, again given the recent weather. The course played pretty efficiently, ~1:45-1:50/9 walking, there's little elevation change. A few holes were a course management challenge like the tee shots on #6, 9, 11, and 14 to avoid the water based on your carry distances. It's better to be long than short on #11. Another interesting thing, this course only has 2 par 5 holes, and it's a par 70 with a rating of 72 from the black tees,(6967y). At the same time, there are the green tees at 4731y (61.8/102 & 66.2/119) that may suit those just getting into the game, ladies wanting less stress, shorter hitters, etc.
This is a very reasonable course for all sorts of golfers to enjoy.
Good day on a 1933 designed course
This deal enticed, I bit. The check-in was seamless. The staff was welcoming. The historic side of the course is pretty cool., 1933 for a Colorado course! The tee sheet was light, and course conditions were pretty good, though leaves are starting to affect one's ability to quickly spot your ball in places. The relatively flat greens were in good shape putting true, nice. The day was beautiful, and walking this course is a pleasure, it can go quickly in <3h, even at a leisurely pace. It makes you think about playing 36! Enjoy!
Excellent experience
A classic design in great condition. Staff was helpful and friendly. A bargain and a pleasant surprise
Perfect day
I've played this course a million times. Got the Hot Deal today and alone on the course. No leaves yet. Let us out early and played in under 3 hours. Hard to believe. Thank you kid at desk as Mr. grumpy who usually works would not have been so nice.
Solid municipal course
Played on a Monday and got right out. Finished round in 3 hours. Course is in good condition. Straight forward layout. Not much sand but some water. Very much a back and forth layout. Greens were in nice condition but too wet in morning to really judge speed. All in a very solid course that I would probably will play again.
Greens, ball marks
Over all had a great day golfing, was fun only thing I can complain is the ball marks on the greens. I had a true roll then the ball marks way too many on every green.
No marshall, beverage cart saw it one time.
Nice course next time in Boulder will play it again.
Please repair your Ball marks
Overall this was a fun day, Staff were very friendly made very good accommodations, the.rough challenges you to a good ball strike which I thought was perfect height. The greens were grabbing your shots, with a consistent roll.
Golfers need to fix their ball marks, PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE, REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS..
TRees came into play all day. Par 3 were challenging
Had fun recommended to play in early Saturday
Nice course.
Besides the green being plugged and sanded, the flat layout and easy movement from tee to tee is fun for novice golfer.
Fun Course
Good shape fairways and greens; pace of play was great a little over 4 hours for 18 holes
Average at Best
Granted it was Saturday mid-Day but I was appalled at the service. No carts until well after our tee time. Staff was unconcerned and acted put out that we actually expressed consensus thT out tee time was 30 minutes late and we got a cart as we were finally walking to the tee. The pace was horrible and never saw a Marshall once in the 5. Plus hour round.
The course itself is ok, flat and no real pizazz. No real reason to return for that cost.
The corse is very nice and convenient if you live in boulder but it is a bit overpriced especially for the twilight tee times. They seem to have a hard time maticing golf now tee times with what is actually going on at the corse.
Colorado golf for Michigander.
Course was in very good condition throughout.
Tees for all ability levels.
Pretty flat course for being close to the mountains.
Will play here again sometime with hot deal.
Review from May 27, 2018
the course was in great shape. I think they need to update their course yardages to hazards, water, etc. None of the fairway bunker distances from the tee boxes matched what my Garmin GPS device showed.
Great course for out of towners
Great course. I recommend this course for decent players. Super friendly staff. They was running no carts and they switched our tee time for the next day to accommodate us bc we was out of town and didn’t was to walk. Saved us hassle and money.
Highly recommended.
The course is nice flat with a lot of trees. I will play it again when the trees are full and hopefully the green will be in better shape
