River Valley Ranch Golf Club
About
Nestled at the base of Mt. Sopris, River Valley Ranch Golf Club has a diverse layout that stretches from the rolling valley floor to the banks of the Crystal River. The natural contours and wetlands were fully utilized to create a challenging and scenic golf course. Since opening in 1997, the course has received tremendous praise, including being called "the jewel of the Rockies" by Golf Magazine. Sagebrush and pinion pines line the lush, rolling fairways and strategically placed bunkers contrast beautifully with the verdant, lightning fast greens. The hilly terrain provides a challenging up and down nature and from the golf course's highest points, golfers can take in breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. In addition to the course, River Valley also has a driving range and a practice putting green where you can work on your putting and chipping.

Course was in great shape
Loved being able to rip a tee shot every hole!! Beautiful scenery, very fun round of golf.
nice course. staff not so much
Nice views of Mt Sopras. Course green but wet. Its been raining alot so they need to turn down the water schedule on the greens. Greens look fast BUT they are not. The outside staff was polite. However the bar tender got upset with me for asking for more ice in my drink. He started throwing things and walking clear across the bar to the other side to slam the refrigerator door.. It was disturbing and kinda comical at the same time. A real unprofessional move. The women at the pro shop checking in was quite rude as well. She looked and saw I booked on golfnow.com and proceeded to treat me like i wasn't worth a darn.
Greens were in great shape
Great place to play driving range was in good condition glad I found it on golf now
Excellent views.
Very nice mountain course. Course map or GPS would be useful as it can be difficult to pick the right lines from the tee. A little course knowledge will go a long way. I would expect to score better next time.
Fun layout and well maintained.
Played the first day from tips and second from the blues. They had a tournament going the first day with some faster greens and tricky pin placements, but it was fair. The second day it had rained a lot the day before and the course was very wet, greens were a lot slower and it was easier to score well under those conditions. There are a few holes on the back that require careful tee shots to avoid water and protected areas. Recommend studying the GPS for trouble before teeing off each hole.
awesome
great course, beautiful views of the mountains. great value
great time!
This was a great deal on a great course. Staff was super nice and the pace of play was good. I will definitely plan on playing this course again. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

The fairways are in great shape and well cared for, but
the greens need some attention. The pace of
Play was very slow with no Marshal to speed up
play.
Great value for green fees thanks to Golfnow.
Wide fairways and mt sopris
Golf now saved us $60 for two golfers, wonderful course but the new owners have raised the prices for out of town golfers. There was no drinking water or cart girls on the course, and where are the ball washers?
Course is fun to play
Cant wait until the restaurant is open, and beverage cart are in play.
We played this course at the end of September and it was in great shape.
Late Sptember and the course was in great shape. The scenery was beautiful and the entire staff were very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to accomodate our requests. I would recomend this course to anyone in the area. There were challanging holes that you had to think. Other holes that are very straight forward. Overall a fun course!
This course was/could be great!
Upon arriving this course appeared to be a quaint upper scale club nestled in a high end mountain home community. After entering the clubhouse we were not greeted in a friendly manner. After discovering we booked our t-time online and were not locals we were treated very poorly. Our questions and requests were quickly dismissed with a sorry but "we don't make any money on these bookings" we cannot accommodate you. However our experience was not all bad. The Bartender was super friendly and provided excellent service.
The range was very short and even with limited flight balls the irons easily reached over the fence (the range was not the length stated). The course was well laid out and in "ok" shape. Nowhere near the quality the price suggested. If I had to pay full price I would have been very disappointed with my "golf" experience. I think with the new owners this place could turn into something special. I believe all customers should be treated the same regardless of local or economic status.
The course is in beautiful shape, especially for this late in the summer!
A beautiful course that is very well maintained. A recently renovated club house and pro-shop...with incredible food...ate lunch and dinner there!
Beautiful Scenery along with Great Golf
What a great value! Playing golf along the Roaring Fork River in August at 7,000 Feet above Sea Level. The Golf Now discount was better than the "Local's" Rate!!
