Plum Creek Golf & Country Club
About
Legendary golf architects Pete Dye and Perry Dye designed the 18-hole, private course at Plum Creek Golf and Country Club, located in Castle Rock. Opened in 1984, the golf course features 7,044 yards of golf from its championship tees, playing to a par of 72. Dye included various different challenges in this golf course, causing some locals to say that it possesses some of the most difficult holes in the state. The hilly terrain of the well-bunkered course causes many uneven lies. Water hazards also come into play on some holes. Plum Creek Golf and Country Club boasts beautiful views of Castle Rock and the Rockies.

This course had no restrooms open on the course.
This course had no bathrooms open on the course and the bathrooms inside the club house were being worked on. After nine holes we asked that they open the restrooms on back but they didn't. In the cold wind we needed the restrooms and were very upset that they felt that convenience was not a necessity. We asked for a discount based on their problems. The manager said to give us our money back. They said they were going to do that but they did not give us any discount for the terrible condition.
Poor conditions and cheap owners.
Nothing about the course is nice. They had to change my cart twice as they kept dying. They are on cartpath only but charge full for a cart. The course has not seen a drop of water outside rain this year. Their super needs to be fired. 5 and a half hour round.
Premiere Plum Creek...
Plum Creek is special, period.
This course offers up so many great challenges = requires solid drives, like all golf courses but with the undulating greens (some even more than usual) protecting the pin placements, you will get a wide variety of putts to test your nerves and score!
And that's if your approach shots hold the greens. If not, plenty of the greens features immediate drop-offs down into deep grass bunker complexes so you have to guard against hitting long, left, and right...
... just hit fairways and greens and you'll be fine !?!?! Cheers!
Fun track course is not in great condition right now
They just aerated and sanded the greens so they were very inconsistent. The fairways were in decent shape. For what I payed with the course conditions I felt I got robbed. It is a great course in the summer when they have had some time to get it in good shape.
Joke!
Basically took three carts to finish the round. The staff seems to not have a clue who’s running what. Brought me a cart once to get me through the round, and when the guy got there, it was dead.
Cool experience
Plum Creek was outstanding. Every hole was very distinctive with amazing views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was awesome and I can't wait to Play It Again.
Renovations underway will pay off
They are doing a lot of work..traps, cart paths, etc and come spring the course should be excellent
Great final round of the season
Plum Creek is a "must play" every season!
Early season (April) and late season (Nov.) = cart path only so be prepared to do some serious walking!
Great way to start and wrap up every golf season. Cheers!
Mid November golf
Great day of golfing, course was in great shape for this time of year.
Plum Creek
Great Pete Dye course! Enjoyed the course and what it has to offer. Construction was a pain but not too bad. Great course for beginners to advanced.
Great value. Excellent shape.
Really enjoyed the afternoon at Plum Creek. It exceeded my expectations.
