The course went from a resort course to a goat ranch!!
The course was in horrible shape…I played the Frog a couple of years ago…thought I was going to play the beautiful resort course but the experience was so disappointing. The bunkers were filled with overgrowth weeds…the fairway was peppered with crab grass & weeds…the car paths were buckling & loose concrete slabs…the creeks were murky and muddy. And the cost to play the Frog was not worth it at all!
TLC Needed
I have played the Frog numerous times over the years. It has always been fun to play, but the conditions of the course surprise me.
The greens are great, but someone needs to teach a class on why and how to fix a ball mark.
I understand it is under new ownership, but for the condition and location of the course, it is overpriced.
I will be back checking to see if things are changing, hopefully for the better..
Use to be great course
I don't mind so much that they haven't maintained the course well if the cost reflected that. Still the greens are in good shape.
Course is in great condition
I had heard that this course had gone downhill over the last couple years but when I played for Father’s Day it was in great shape. The starter admitted that the greens were terrible before new management took over. They have definitely done a great job so far. Definitely will be playing this course again
On the up and up
Greens were in good shape. They are putting new sand in the bunkers so they are hit or miss at the moment. Tee boxes need a little love, but the layout is A-1. Will be back.
Greens are well maintained but the massive amount of bunkers have no sand and are hard as rocks not worth the 80 dollar price tag when there are better cheaper maintained courses around
Not worth the public pricing
The layout is good, the fairways and greens are above average. Staff was nice.
The range is all sand. Every fairway bunker has not had any work done in ages. Grass growing in bunkers. The lips of the fairway bunker are washed away on every single hole. This is the most expensive course with public tee times in the area and just isn't worth it.
Fun time at the Frog
Great course. Fairways and greens are in great condition. Sand traps need some work.
Great layout
Only issue is the sand traps. They either had little to no sand or they had powder beach sand and were next to impossible to walk in or play from. A great golf course. Just need to fix the traps
No day at the beach!
Great course nice layout greens in good shape as well as fairways and greens. My issue was the lack of sand in any bunkers. Not even green side traps. The course is littered with bunkers and make for challenging conditions but either buy sand or buy dirt and fill them in
Not Like It Used To Br
I have played this course many times over 20 years.
What was World Class is now more like the Ghetto
Traps have been allowed to grow over with vegetation.
Carts paths are showing their age. Erosion has also exposed many tree roots. Took a buddy there to impress. Oops
