Silver is a close Silver medal

USAFA’s Eisenhower Silver may be the Eisenhower’s “other” course. But, I’ll take a silver medal any day. What a beauty of a course. More variety than it’s big brother counterpart. Plays with a little more slope and elevation. Which adds for a variety of holes. Conditions are no less than the Blue’s. In absolute gorgeous shape currently. Greens are lightning going downhill. The mountain really comes in play beware above the hole putts. If you get the opportunity, take it, go play! 36 holes between the Blue and Silver make for some amazing golf at the USAFA!

USAFA’s Crown Jewel

The Eisenhower Blue lives up to expectations. USAFA’s Crown Jewel golf course. It delivers. Greens were quick! DO NOT get above the hole. Downhill putts will not stop. The mountain comes into play more than you would anticipate. Walkable despite being at elevation. Amazing golf, amazing views. If you have the chance to go play. Go play.

Best of the Military

Eisenhower continues to be one of the best i the military. Conditions are very good, even with a little snow on the course. The greens were true and the fairways were outstanding.

Best course in the Department of Defense

Exceptional value for this course at the base of the Rocky Mountains. One of two courses at the United States Air Force Academy.

Best course in the DOD

Writing this review as a HS Sophomore who call this course his main course. If this was an average course, its really nothing to write home about, but if you consider this course as a military base course, it really shines.

The rates are jacked like crazy for civilians and might not be the best choice for your outing, but if youre a junior or in the military (or even retired military), then the course is dirt cheap for the value. The clubhouse was recently rebuilt and looks extremely nice and well kept. The pro shop has a good selection of balls, gloves, shoes and used and new clubs, as well as a built in club facility,

The practice facilities are below par. The short game area is a long walk, has 3 greens and a singular bunker. This is the only place you can putt for the next year as the putting green was removed in favor of a new one awhile back. The driving range is downhill, and compared to other courses, range balls are quite expensive.

This gets outdone by the course. The course is in excellent condition right now, excluding around 2 or so greens that have a small dead patches. The layout is challenging and forces you to be relatively tight and safe with your club selection. Water does not come into play except for the left side of 1 and in front of 11 green. Putting is a challenge and will force you to be conservative due to the immensely fast greens. The par 3s are challenging, surrounded tightly by trees and bunkers, This course surely demands every single club that you have in the bag, and it definitely shows.

This course is a must if youre in the military. If not... I'd say find a different course in town :). If you still choose to play here, you will have plenty of fun.

WAY OVERPRICED

Took a few civilian friends to the course AFTER I was told the rate for MAY after 1:00 for civilian guest was $35. WAS shocked when they had to pay $82 to ride. WINTER KILL and dead spots on greens---spring conditions NO WHERE WORTH full price. RIP OFF!!!!

Need to play

This course holds up to its reputation as the best golf course in the DoD. With larger than average fairways and approachable greens, it is easy for golfers of all skills to make greens in regulation. The greens on this course are what make it so difficult. With hard mountain dirt and the lack of bent grass, the greens kill any spin you might have on your approach shots, making you have to hit short of the pin if you want any chance of birdie. Once on the greens, it only gets harder. With deceptive breaks and green speeds varying on each hole, it poses a challenge for even the best short game players.

If you want a challenge

Located right next to the Blue Course at Eisenhower Golf Course, this course is a lot more narrow than the Blue Course, but provides so many more scoring opportunities. Being a relatively short golf course with ample dog leg holes that are easy to cut, it isn't hard to be only a wedge shot away from the greens. Once on the greens though, the challenge really starts. With all the greens breaking away from the mountain range to the west of the course, the undulations of the green do nothing to the break. If you can master the greens, expect low scores, if not, you could be in for a long day.

Great Course!

Blue is the best military course in the Nation and one of the best courses in Colorado. Not particularly challenging until arriving at the green. Then the fun begins. If you can putt at Eisenhower you can putt anywhere. Blue greens are extremely difficult. Silver even more so. Enjoy!
