The Eighteen Hole Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

My old favorite

Been playing this course for over 40 years. And yes its even more mature than me. This is the classic park type course. Its got a few more hills than Denver courses, and trees as well. Only a couple holes with lakes, but there is a creek running thru a couple holes as well that actually comes into play depending on your level. Little sand however. Nice park layout. The best part about this course is it’s in excellent shape. It’s maturity and great grounds staff shine. Fairways and greens are as perfect as you can get. Although the fairways have a fair amount of room, you still need to do some course management as many of the tree are mature and big as well. Greens are fairly flat and good size. They do have several nice dogleg holes as well that make it fun. Restaurant is good for after your round with a nice deck to overlook the course. Also they have a pretty nice pro shop. A nice touch is that they have towel buckets were they have the drinking water buckets through out the course. Don’t forget the par 3, and executive 9 courses as well. Thanks Foothills for going back to being able to book as a single on the championship 18 thru Golf Now. Your sure to see me more!

Foothills Fun

Very nice golf complex with a variety of options and practice areas. Really enjoyed the layout of the 18-hole course. Multiple tee boxes and well maintained greens. Both short hitters (me) and long hitters will enjoy the risk/reward nature of the par 5 holes. Signature hole (No. 4) provides a great view and a well pumped driver can put you in a position to score. Not many traps but a few well placed water hazards. Nice elevation changes throughout the course provided a fun afternoon on the links!

Nice course l, nothing fancy.

This is nice flat course. I played with my son who is a beginner. It was perfect for him. Wide open and greens were running true. Fun and will be back

Rude staff, Ruined holiday

This was the worst treatment from a select few individuals of the golf staff that I have ever experienced. It's a really good thing my teen age son was not with me, they would have made him cry. 95% of the staff on this supposed to be enjoyable 4th of July were amazing! But the actions of a couple of bullies working at the course that day, completely ruined my holiday, and gave me the feeling that I was looked at like I wasn't good enough to be playing on their course, and that I wasn't valued either as a customer, or as a human being. I don't know if I would ever come back to play this course even if I was envited back. The course itself was in okay shape except for the greens witch were hard as rock and very discolored in many areas. I was also pretty unhappy with the condition of the cart we were given as the club and ball washer was bone dry and when I went to fill it up myself, all the water completely drained out and it wouldn't hold water. Its sad to see that the hard work and effort of the majority of the staff, was completely ruined by a couple of employees who should have no right to even work in the positions they have let alone work on a golf course period. The manager and the head pro should be completely ashamed by the actions of these employees and the lack of customer service being presented at this course. There are many other courses in the area that will not only value your business, but also will treat you with respect, no matter what day it is, your level of experience, or even how busy they are.

Great Course poor pace of play.

The course and staff were great. I love this course but every time I play the pace of play is at least 30-45 minutes behind after 5 holes.
