Lack of Course Management
Coral Creek is overplayed and not maintained. The areas around the tee boxes and greens are dirt as the golf carts are allowed to travel anywhere they want on this course. There are no signs to keep carts off the areas where it is already dirt and the damage is permanent. The lack of a good green keepers keeps the course conditions in the poor range. There are no course marshals so any golfer can do as they like and ignore all the basic golf etiquette rules. They do not fix ball/divot marks on the greens, no one rakes the sand after hitting a bunker shot and the carts basically drive up next to the greens. We played on a hot day and the first time we saw the beverage cart was on the 18th Green and she had the nerve to ask if we wanted anything, really? The restaurant at the club house is also fair but the wait for food is about 30 minute’s average. They must have only one cook in a very small kitchen, best bet is to eat elsewhere after your round of golf.
Fun, playable course
Course was in really good shape and very playable. They let us tee off early. No active marshals and the pace was pretty slow. 4 groups bottle necked on 11 and I had to walk inside and ask them to get a ranger out. They responded and took care of the hold up, but it was still slow.
For the price you're paying you'd expect some service from the outside staff, but they're just there to greet like most of the other courses we played. Still a good time. If they lowered their rates for visitors they'd probably see more play.
Played on Saturday afternoon. Pace of play was good. Fairways, rough and greens were all in great condition. Good layout with enough hazards to keep it challenging. I will play again and recommend it to others.
Squeezing in two Foursomes
Front side was good and came around and they had squeezed in two foursomes. Not cool added 45 min to the round. Never again
Going down hill
Played here last about four years ago. It was marvelously maintained in all areas. Now it is definitely showing poor maintenance and conditioning. Too many dead spots on fairways and tee boxes. The rough areas are totally overgrown and there is a ton of litter in may rough areas. Won't recommend it to others at this time.
Roughs are much tougher then midwest
It's tough hitting from rough. A few nice hole layout. Traps are not taken care of as I expected. Overall nice course to practice
I was scheduled for 1:16 but arrived early and was put in for 12:12 as a single. Thought I was going to get out and done quickly. Once on the course I find that there was a fivesome slowing everyone up, in front of a couple in front of me as a single, then there was a single behind me, with a couple of twosome behind them. So there were were 8 people basically waiting for the fivesome. Now, I don't necessarily like being forced to play with people I don't know, but when in the interest of pace of play, and if the course says this is the way it is, you make it work. Got so tired of waiting on holes, I left after 12 holes after sitting for 10 minutes on a par 3 watching the fivesome on the green. Just too long to play
Not what it used to be
I played this course about 8 years ago and it has gone downhill considerably. The pictures you see on the website must've been taken a long time ago because the course no longer looks like that. The course isn't as green as it used to be. The grass looks brown, but soggy at the same time. The greens were average at best, and very inconsistent from hole to hole. The restaurant is great though. Paying over $100 for this course is not worth it in my opinion.
Rate is not worth the course condition and customer care is terrible. Tried speaking with the person in charge once and they were "to busy" for me.
We were behind a fivesome that would not let us play through. We had to get the Marshall to let us pass. Bunkers had not been worked with weeds in them. Lots of graffiti on the outside of the bathroom walls and in the tunnels. Warning signs to not leave valuables unattended at any time in cart for theft could occur. Was a little unnerving to go to the green to putt. I left a seat cover and went back several days later and it was not in the lost and found. So basically stolen.
