Ute Creek Golf Course
About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Great First Round of the Season
I've played this course many times. I always judge the play by how well the greens roll. I have to say considering the time of year the greens rolled true. I was very pleased with pace of play and overall the course plays very well. I definitely recommend you try this course.
Over priced for early season conditions
Even though it’s very early in the season, the cost to play didn’t match the conditions. One green totally closed, two tee boxes hitting off mats…45 for 9 is too much for early season
Seasonal so hard to just
Cart path only was not my choice, but I understand the reason.
Winter Golf
Privileged to play golf in NoCo on 12/15! Course is cart path only until April. Staff is always friendly; had a few laughs with starter PJ before teeing off. Course in good shape overall but greens are abused with ball marks! The greens on second nine were horrible with 50 or more unrepaired marks in each green. No excuses for golfers not repairing them! Marshall Mr. Allen was very nice and passed by frequently to check on everyone. Nice day of play.
Winter Golf in Colorado
Ute Creek is a favorite. The course provides a challenge to all level of players without being so difficult it’s discouraging. Its signature is the sand, and boy does it deliver. Traps come into play on every hole making your course management critical.

Great course to play, when you can play it.
Course is always over booked. People stacked on top of each other. We try to go on a week day when there isn’t many people but seems to always be stacked.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
GolfNow lied! Too bad, otherwise it could be a great course
$75 for horrible greens. Impossible to contact GolfNow apparently. What was identified as “minimal impact” on the greens turned into a completely false statement. We were putting through a 1/4” of sand on the greens.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, Aaron7827788. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Ute Creek Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Misled by GolfNow
Looks to be a great course (RTJ2 design), unfortunately based upon the conditions reported as: “We have done a small needle tine aerification to the greens. Impact will be minimal”.
Turned out to be a “substantial impact” once we were at the course. This is aerification season: I get it. What I can’t wrap my head around is false statements and untrue conditions. We paid $75 for $35 conditions all things considered. Carts are aging and lacking GPS. Course has VERY few distance markings and we chose a bad day to leave our range finders in the garage.

Gem of a public course.
This is a public course that is dynamic, fun, and in as good shape as any private course.
The staff treated me like I was a member on a private course.
In particular the Marshall was extremely helpful and took time and effort with me to deal with my disabilities.
Ample water for drinking and buckets to clean clubs.
This course was in outstanding condition and layout is always fun. While it may not be the most challenging it does take a couple rounds to benefit the layout.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Ute Creek Golf Course.
Must play course.
If you are in the area you really should put this course on your list to play. I drove 45 minutes from Denver and it was worth it. Course conditions were very good. Greens were nice and rolled well. This course has a lot of bunkers. I was fortunate to only land in one. Mixed reviews from my playing partners about the bunker condition, but the starter did warn us about them. The more aggressive you play, the more bunkers you'll contend with. Couse knowledge really helps here and I was lucky to play most of the round with a local. Second shot target golf. Most fairways are generous. This is links style course. Wind is a facto

Decent course at a decent price
Played at 10am on a Wednesday. Play was just over four hours. Seemed like half the people were walking and half were in a cart.
Fairways and sand traps were in good condition. Greens were fine however not difficult and medium to slow speed.
