Stillwater Golf and Country Club

Given this place just opened late last year it is by far a most exciting venue inn regards to the course and staff. Conditions were pristine, bunker edging was immaculate, I noticed drainage was placed perfectly, tee boxes perfectly groomed and level and the greens!!!! Hold On that day running 12. The only downside I had was that recent winds had dried them out some thus holding them was very difficult even with a high approach(apex). The greeting from the staff was excellent even though their shop is still under construction as well as the cart storage barn. The course winds its way through the new development nicely and with added water and lake placement it still had a picturesque feel even though construction of housing is in many areas. GPS was spot on for carts and markings were easy to find. One thing that is somewhat of an illusion is that the cart paths in many areas are made of local coquina stone which is white and looking from the tee boxes it looks like they are bunkers thus giving you a false vision of where ball placement should be. The big downer for me and I assume anybody is the scorecard specified that the coquina stone paths are in play and the ball should be played as it lies, well not me. Not making a living playing and not going to mess up my irons or hybrids for that.
So in end if you are in Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville area this is one ta
that you are gonna want to explore. Pricing is very fair in comparison to the other high end courses in the area
