Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - Gold Course
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Solid course in good conditions
This is a convenient, reasonably priced, suburban course with enough challenge to keep one engaged but not too much to make it tedious. The check-in is all online with prepay. The course is quite walkable for those who like to walk. The fairways, greens, and teeboxes all were in good shape. The 1st 4 holes feel like a gauntlet of sorts, but the course turns to go mode after the 1st 9. #7 turns out to be the riskiest tee shot, because a well-placed drive can go 300+ and reach the next group ahead if you nail one. So, a bit of a gap by #7's tee is helpful. #9 is the narrowest hole, but you can go iron, iron...assuming you can hit it straight enough. #12 is a short, birdiable par 5. Water on 3 of the 4 par 3s add to the challenge. There are some leaves that can hide balls, like on #15 to the left of the fairway, but it is fall. The ground is firm, so you can get some good roll on the drives. #18 provides a solid challenge for getting home without too much anguish. Enjoy!
Excellent golf spot
Won't disappoint. Really nice public course
We had a frost delay and the range was closed today. COVID has everything screwed up so not sure it is even fair to ask for reviews as pro shop not open nor is restaurant.
Challenging course, fun
We played the Hyland Hills Gold course. The course is long with a lot of hazards, and lots of water holes. Overall a lot of fun, I recommend it highly..
Course was in great shape, although the greens had been aerated in the last few weeks. Tried to get a breakfast burrito at the snack shack but was told they no longer served them because it was slowing down
Great classic course, conditioning iffy
Tee boxes really bad. Otherwise, decent. Bizarre checkin process. Allow An extra 15 minutes to deal with the strange cart to range and back before your round. Still always a fun day of golf at H Hills!
This course offers an entertaining challenge while still maintaining a pretty good pace of place. Perhaps a bit slow at times but very enjoyable still. layout offers dynamic shots while still catering to all skill levels. That is why i enjoy coming back to this course.
I motioned to the guy that gives out the keys to the cart. As I asked to get the keys ,he told me to first pull my mask up. Afterword he explained to me that cart keys can only be given out 20 minutes prior to your tee time. I explained that I just wanted to hit some range balls which is a long walk with my heavy bag. He told me I can drive there. As I walked away another man motioned him for the same thing not wearing any mask. AS I listened since I was only 6 ft away he said nothing to the other man about a mask.I understand rules ,but be CONSISTANT
Anytime playing golf is great!
Well maintained course.Pace of play was better after 3 holes.Love course layout.
