About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Great day to play.
Great weather that day. Calm and around 70 degrees. Course was in good shape.
No issues checking in. Staff was nice.
There were multiple grounds crew teams out working which we had to wait on for a couple of holes but no real problem - the crews had the course well maintained.
Have played this course many times and always enjoyed. Multiple options to play - the Gold course, the Blue course, and the Par 3 courses. The putting green and practice facilities are nice.
Also the club house is very nice to eat and drink.
Early season delight
Recently sanded greens, but otherwise good early season conditions. Nice facilities. Competitive price for themetro area. Will be back in the summer!
Slow play
We played the gold and it took over 5 hours and we didn’t even finish! The group ahead of us was drinking a lot and we’re very obnoxious! Not going to be playing on your course on Friday. Unfortunately we belong to the senior league so have to play on Mondays The absence of rangers is very evident!
Frost Delay
Spring conditions, frost delay. Due to that, slow play.
Scheduling debacle
Courses were overwhelmed with slow play, pushing Blue Course tee times by over 90 min and Golf course (what we played) by about 30min. Yes, Saturdays are busy and slow, but I can’t recall a time where they were as hosed as this. There was no bev cart service on a crazy busy day with no water coolers out. The mats on Par 3s were hot trash and obvs dragged off of the practice facility. It’s springtime conditions, so the course is in okay shape, but charging full price for that experience was pretty shady. Get it together, HH.
My round
Always excellent, this is the closest course to my home. I would love to join the men's, or senior league, but unfortunately I am still working full-time. Some day soon I will be able to enjoy the course more!
Gol review
This is such a beautiful course. There are some challenging holes. Views are great, course in great shape. Such a peaceful setting. Would love to play at dusk sometime.
