About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Poorly managed frost delay
Had an 8:20 tee time. Estimated 60 minute frost delay turned into 90. They also had two group events which contributed to the complete chaos. When we finally got to tee off after 10:00, they had us go off on the third hole instead of one, with the idea that we would play holes 1-2 often 18. When we got back to the first tee, there was an hour long back up, at which point I called it a day.
Great course
Excellent open course for beginners, but also has enough challenges for experienced golfers. Course was in great shape!

Adventurous, well thought our course. Lots of fun and great value. Loved this course. Will be back.
Good but slow
10am tee time on a Wednesday and it took over 5 hours to complete the round. No course Marshalls to speed things along led to looong wait times on tees and in fairways.
Perfect Fall Weather
Course is in great shape! Slow groups ahead of us that was almost a 4hr 50 min round! But will certainly be back
long grass to longer grass+dimples
I lost two balls on the #1 Gold hole, due to early morning sun in face and long second cut (about 4 to 6 inches) several tee boxes not mowed any time recently. some greens not really puttable (knew that going in) ditch along 17 and 18 trees and weeds are so high you almost can't see the green from the fairways.
Disappointed
Have played here many times over the years
I made the tee time. Week in advance.
No mention of aeration happening.
Greens were aerated and I had guest from out of town
Very disappointed
Pace of play is awful
A 6 hour round is not uncommon here on a Saturday.
Nobody on the course from the club to try and speed up playing.
Really needs resolving as it's a good course to play
