Richter Park Golf Course
About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

Perfect Day
Great day ! good company, foilage changing spectacular views
Classic
The layout is classic. Lots of hazards and not many bailouts. Rewards good shots and punishes bad ones.
Wonderful course
Nice place, very beautiful views. Greens could be faster. Lots of play on the course might be the reason. Has several blind shots or very slanted fairway that you can not see . Overall, it is a very nice place.
Great challenging course
Considering we are going through a drought the course was perfectly green and well groomed. Always a fun challenging course to play. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to play a real round of golf.
Stunning vistas.
A beautiful track. In excellent shape considering the lack of rain. Staff is wonderful. A little slow but goes with it's popularity. Rangers help the pace of play.
Water Water Everywhere...and none to drink
Always a great track...water on 14 beautiful holes...but none to drink. Time to bring back the drinking water coolers, especially on hot days (which frankly, was a safety issue on the day I played.) I blew through the water I brought in about 5 holes. And no beverage cart all day...although I'm of the opinion that our country is developed enough that we shouldn't have to pay for drinking water. Otherwise, thanks for alway providing a great golf experience.
Best price performance ratio for this spectacular course
Course locates in Danbury that's only 30 minutes drive for me. This is by far the best course for the price range for all the courses around the Danbury/Westchester area I think.
Tremendous Value
This gem is a delight to play. Condition was about as good as you can expect given how little it’s rained lately. Staff is super friendly. All in all the best value in CT.
Good Track. Recommend.
If you have a chance to play this course this season definitely do it. Don't play on Sunday though, 6 hour round easy. They've done well with the conditions this season at keeping this place on the greener side. Will play again.
Slow on Friday
Really nice course. About three groups ahead were really slow, took 7-8 holes for ranger to address it.
Course layout is good but tricky. Have to play here a bunch to know how to play the course well.
Course was in great condition, especially in current drought. You can tell they are interested in maintaining the course… even saw a group filling in divots in the rough with sand mix!
