quick round
I hadn't played here in a couple of years as the previous operators had left the course in terrible shape. Billy Casper golf has done a great job bringing it back. The greens are in great shape.
Take a little pride in cleaning up the course
I understand it was still winter in Connecticut when I played the course, so just to get out and play is sort of a bonus. It had also rained hard about 5 days before I played. However, there were literally over 10,000 pine cones out there and plenty of branches all over the place. Even if it is still too wet to send any large equipment out there, don't tell me you can't send 1 or 2 guys out there with a backpack blower and a rake and a utility cart to pick them up.
Happily surprised
Between the snow melting and the rain that followed for the previous week straight, I was happy to see the course was even open. There were definitely some wet spots, but the greens were in good shape. I was just happy to be out on a beautiful day in March. Thank you.
SUMMER IN MARCH
Played after a very rainy day. Course could use more drainage. MOTHER NATURE PREVAILED. SUNNY
Great Course Great Value
this courses greens in Feb still are great!!!, i play 40-50 rounds a year and Love that this course is Open year round ( weather permitting) thou the course does get wet at times, this a Great course especially for people whom dont his the ball straight as most fairways are open the greens are ALWAYS in great shape
Conditions
Have played this course for the last five years and conditions are better than ever. Greens were in impeccable shape. Staff has done a great job there
east of the river
The place of play was slow but good company. Places were very wet
Good golf
for a town owned golf course It plays very well and it does provide with consistent greens Everything else is pretty good except for the drainage.
Lazy day in the sun
Got mixed up on a couple holes but the locals were quick to help with directions. Fun little course with few obstacles.
Horrible prices horrible pace horrible overall condition of course and no one seems to care
This is one of the worst courses I’ve ever paid and they have the audacity to change 60-75 a round with a cart, the carts were terrible they barely ran the pace of play was the absolute slowest I’ve ever experienced I had to skip two holes to pass some extremely slow players and another group had 3 carts and 5 people in their group, the place is not cared for and it shows DO NOT GOLF HERE UNLESS YOU GET A DEAL IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY
Good Course, Great Value
For the price, this course is hard to beat. Course overall was in good condition aside from the bunkers and a few waterlogged spots along the course due to all the rain recently. Holes are on top of each other so keep your head on a swivel for offline drives.
Staff is very friendly. I've never seen the beer cart come around so frequently - a huge plus.
Greens were fast and in very good condition.
Easily walkable for 18 holes. Overall a good course at a hard to beat price.
