At the third: pondering the break of the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
The fourth features a raised green, a pot bunker, and trouble awaiting over-hit approaches. At least it’s beautiful. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
View from the front of the tee at five, a superb 205 yarder with links-style contouring at the green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
Five, again: One of my favorite par-3’s in Connecticut. The contours seem like something out of North Berwick in East Lothian, Scotland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
Seven: One of a slew of strong holes here. A big pair of grass bunkers (along with a sand bunker—unseen from this view) guards the putting surface. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
Eighteen: For those who like challenging 3-pars, Tunxis offers four, including this bunker-flanked finisher. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/03/2020
early spring play
Course was good, but greens recently aerated and were a little off, but course was ok otherwise.
tunxis green course
The course was in very good condition even considering the aerating of the greens. A fine layout to challenge all players and a friendly helpful staff.
course was good, staff was friendly, price on GolfNow
was higher than the price at the course.
This was first experience playing the Green Course at Tunxis Plantation Country Club. I was pleasantly greeted at the Pro Shop and provided some basic information regarding the golf course. When I arrived at the starters station, the starter on duty was very personable and accommodating - a good exoerience to start off your round. I atrived a few minutes priort my 12 noon tee time, but was able to tee off immediately. The course was in good shape overall, but lacked sone direcrional signage to navigate from hole to hole. We has a morning rain, and the greens wererelatively slow. I enjoyed the wooded landscape, and the pace of play was good for weekend play. I would play here again.
Enjoyed the round
Greens were a little slower than some other courses
Nice condition considering drought
Great Pace -Green
Playing the Green Course. Great place to hit my driver, I find that it's not a hard course. Great cart path throughout the plantation. Relaxed and enjoyable place to play.
Mark of Excellence
Great touch of delivering cold water to golfers during different holes to insure they were hydrated on a very hot & humid day. Extra special!
Love the course layout and condition - very well maintained.
Rough is thick and challenging
Course was in good condition, had a hard time knowing where next hole was, signage could be better!
Tunxis a must play
Tunix has been one of favorite places to play for the past ten years. The course is always in great shape. The greens role true, the fairways are receptive off the tee, and it is just challenging enough to make that 79
feel like a 75.
Coursewasinvgshape- including thegreens.layoutisopenandforgiving.willdefinitelyplayhereagain.
Course was in great shape. fairways were excellent with no issues at all. Greens were well maintained.
Top notch layout and conditions
Course is in great shape even considering our lack of moisture this summer. Friendly staff and practice facility too.
Beautiful well kept course
The course was very doable and women friendly. The holes were challenging and fun to play. No outrageous yard ages but a feel good course all around. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Good But Could Be Better
Tunxis is a good option for the mid-handicapper (e.g. 15). It might be a little too easy for the single digit handicapper even form the back tees.
-Course is in good condition and pace of play was excellent.
-It would be nice if they had "yardage to water hazard" signs on some of the holes where water is reachable from the tee. Also, all flags are the same color (instead of the traditional blue/white/red), making it difficult to know where the pin is located on the green.
Course was in excellent shape. Would recommend to friends.
Golf with son
Course was good but a little pricy. So my comment was too short, then what did you want me to say? A review of every hole? My comment stands...
